  • @MrWakethesheeple - you're correct but most people don't understand what you mean. If more of them had actually raced maybe they would understand.

  • @MrWakethesheeple I doubt he's really 21. The Kenyans are notoriously lax with keeping birth certificates. He won the World Junior title at 17 in 2006!

  • @deano27671 - I've been away a long time, but I have to agree with Deano on this one. After reading comments from Colm O'Connell (who has been working with Kenyan 'high schoolers' for decades) I'd suspect that Rudisha is 24 if his Federation is claiming 21.O'Connell said flat out back in the day that Noah Ngeny was already at the 'junior' limit when he was attending St. Patrick's High School. However, Rudisha has a good chance now to establish himself as the Greatest Ever.

  • @franknjess Hi mister! I think (not certain) I remember someone saying on LetsRun last year that Rudisha had his age as 23 on his Facebook profile! LOL. That would make him 24. Mind you Kaki isn't Kenyan and he's supposed to be just 21 also; looks more like 34. At least Rudisha looks fairly young. Also, what do you make of Kipketer's real age. Depending on which site you go to or reference book you use, his dob is given as 12.12.72 or 12.12.70.

  • He came 5th (running 1:47.0) in the Kenyan National Champs on 18.6.88. If the former dob (the most oft quoted one) is correct that would have made him 15!! Also, he supposedly ran 1:49.6 on 31.7.85, which would have made him 12. I think the 1970 dob is closer to the truth.

  • @deano27671 - I remember someone using Rudisha's Facebook profile as another example of Kenyans stacking the deck at the World Juniors. Most of their athletes are too old at Junior events. Kaki is probably mid 20's. I think Kipketer's true birthdate is the one listing him born in 1970. Many don't believe Kipketer was clean at his peak, I agree. I think Rudisha is clean, like Coe and Cruz for example. But not Kip. He had a lot of strange things happen that were ignored.

  • lemaitre can easily beat him..

  • @MrWakethesheeple told you so

  • @MrWakethesheeple Hahaha, 50% chance? So what you are basically saying is flip a coin?

  • @MrWakethesheeple 5 days are the future thats true :)

  • @MrWakethesheeple The futur was near :D

  • @MrWakethesheeple your right but he already took 0.5 of his previous pb in this race and he is still a few years from his peak

  • the world record is in serious shit, come on rudisha

  • insaine!

  • Wow!

Great sfuff from a great guy.

Asante sana Rudisha. Wewe ni mmoja wao. Please get that World Record and without a doubt, you will. We'll all be elated.
