Dare Devil is equivalent to DBlam, and is completely miscasted. Misdirected. I don't care for comparisons, because those are all american-based comics. And there's more examples of failure. It's not the same with Japanese anime. Batman movie was popularized because that guy overdoesed due depression of the part.
I seen invisible. An emo complete waste of time. Chatwin resembles nothing of Goku. I don't see a hero. No such thing of a brown-haired hairy SonGoku. Never heard of Chumscrubbers.

That's your preference, certainly entitled to it. But I have certain preference in seeing movies in-general especially adaptations of big animes. A great example of a good adaptation it L change the world live-action Death Note. You can make all the changes in the world, add new story-lines, but characters must remain in-character and look the part.
it has nothing to do with color, Chatwin doesn't look the part at all. It has to have that same appeal and feel that attracted viewers in the first place. This seems like a copycat of failed movies. It's cheesy, and several months from now when it comes out it will still be cheesy. so as far as a DB movie it fails, on it's own, I don't know. Reminds too much of forbidden kingdom.

Besides its not as bad a miscast as Ben Afflek as Daredevil or Nicholkas Cage as Ghost Rider.
People hated on Toby Maguire, Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Daniel Craig but they played good parts.

Chatwin does resemble Goku in the face, its harder to look like anime characters coz they dont look like typical humans.
I know Chatwin isnt big and bulky like Goku but in Dragon ball he wasnt that big.
Hes a good actor whose judged alot coz of War of the worlds which itself is a poor movie and Chatwin played a character people hate anyway.
In the Invisble and Chumscrubbers he plays a good part, hhe's also a big fan of DBZ so he dopesnt wanna let people down.
