  • After the advent of space flight, and my armies begin conquering the known reaches of the galaxy, this will be the Anthem all will fall to their knees to in glorious rapture as they behold their true God: me.

  • Favourite Nile song.

  • I'a Zixul zi Azkak

    I'a Gula zi Pazu

    Alal uggae Utukku Xul

    I'a I'a Pazuzu!

  • \,,/

  • Which would be the right way, grammaticaly I mean, of the title in german???

  • @AndreFuk Something like: "Die Rache - Kriegslied der Assyrer"

  • i thought pazuzu was a sumerian not egyptian god. spirits of the air pazuzu nar mataru

  • @Hitchhikeroftheyear War against syrians i think...

  • @thenameiwantedwasnta No, no - nothing to do with modern day Syrians. This is about the Assyrian Empire and its epic war machine.

  • @wisamnaoum excuse me, but did I say modern day syrians? ._.

  • METAL? Ummm, no, I don't buy it. A Conan movie soundtrack? I buy it!

  • A blurry shape of city on the horizon. Though you're a simple soldier, you feel the pride of being the part of army which is going to change the history. Dust soars as you march throught the desert bringing Assyrian leadership to this land. The fight is going to be tough, you have no doubts, but the war song sung by thousand throaths gives you no other choice - this day will be the day of your victory.

  • NILE (H)

  • The correct title should be "Das Rachekriegslied der Assyrer" or something similar, there are many grammatical mistakes in the song title.

  • @KatharsisWorks

Witzig eigentlich.

  • This songs called "War March" who ever put this up i way higher than me

  • Interesting language.

  • @ProfessionalWhiteGuy

ya right even germans dont understand the meaning....

  • An army of brutality! \m/

  • That statue is of my dad. You guys crazy

  • @LaSolFaReMi

Hell yes. Metal is an attitude, as well as a style. :D

  • assyrian mytology

  • This Mythical creature is on the cover of the album The Epigenesis from Melechesh

  • Why a german title?

  • Hekal Tiamat!

  • this sounds like the servants of satan pulling his mass weapon of destruction and opeing the gates of hell ...yea im christian xDD nile kills man!!!!

  • fuck yeah!

  • wait that statue has six legs lol

  • @Pazuzzuzpet its an assyrian lamassu - a deity that protected the Assyrian cities - it has 5 legs to give the illusion that it is running at you ... basically they were put at the entrances to the major cities to scare the shit out of an invading army

  • Hail Nile

  • anybody know some other songs like this one? not other Nile stuff.

  • @barretpearson look up karl sanders' solo project.

  • This and In Their Darkened Shrines are the two best Nile albums. Gotta love this.

  • This song is WAY TOO GODDAMN SHORT! I am ALWAYS having to listen to it a good 3-5 times in a row, it's that goddamn epic!!

  • Die figur ist doch aus mesopotamien oder ?

  • Music to build an empire to

  • Hail to Nile

  • lustiger titel, geiler song

  • komischer titel Die Rache Krieg Lied Der Assyriche? vielleicht meinten Nile es so: "Die Rache (Kriegslied der Assyrer)"

  • @6The6Deathbanger6 Ich glaube eher Das Rache-Kriegslied der Assyrer

  • Es ist ein gutes lied. My deutsch is awesome. =)

Nergal dread God of War and Plague

Avenge the shades of our Fallen ones

Blacken the sun with Fierce Winds

    Bring forth your Terrible Storms!

Yea! Burn the flesh of our Enemies

Gash their throats with Weapons of Iron

    Destroy Them utterly

    With Locusts and Disease

  • "Die Rache Krieg Lied Der Assyriche" [sic!] is mispelled

The proper title would be "Das Rache-Kriegslied Der Assyrer" which is German for "The Revenge War Song Of The Assyrians"

  • ahwas aber das heisst so

    muahaha

  • sieht man shcon an ihren Maßeinheiten..

  • Vollkommen veraltet...

  • stimmt ! +1

  • godly! i cant wait until they come to chicago

  • This song is so fuckin amazing, that's what i call atmosphere in a song.

  • if I was a mma fighter, this would be my walk-in song!

  • Exactly. It's simply... amazing!

  • this song makes me wanna shake my bouty.

stomp my feet. and wip a hebrew. he ha

    just like devo

  • in the related videos column there's a video of Britney Spears.

    WHY, YOUTUBE?

    WHY?

Britney fuckin spears couldn't dream about coming close to the awesomeness that is this song.

  • Because Britney is obviously related to the bassist silly.

  • This isn't just the best non-metal Nile song, it's one of their best songs imo. I know, i sound funny. Don't worry, i'm a real metalhead.

Their next album should have a few songs like this! Oh, and Karl should do more vocals. His grunts are divine.

Amongst the catacombs is my fav Nile album.

    Funny thing:

In the booklet, at the "thanks to" section, they welcome their new guitarist Dallas Toler Wade. But on the same page it says:

    Nile is:

    Karl Sanders

    Chief Spires

    Pete Hammoura

    That was 1998

  • Fucking HELL YEAH! thanks for the upload

  • holy fuck

  • This puts me in mind of something I'd here from the movie 300. :)

  • The revenge war song of the Assyriche

    is the title in english

  • Extreme powerful song, I can see the assyrian army in the desert, and their fight against Egypt!!!

  • I am German and that song title makes absolutely no sense. :D But fuck it, Nile is awesome!!

  • Right....i´m also German.....and it´s a bit ridiculous....but nonetheless this song is awesome....and....i like how much they take from the "Necronomicon"....good book by the way...

  • well....yeah....what about it?

    It´s an old warsong(well....maybe it´s mostly taken from H.P. Lovecrafts Necronomicon...but I don´t really care)...was that u meant with THE CONTENT?

  • Of course man, but still it doesn't make sense. -.- Would be right if it was like a double title like Die Rache/ Krieglied der Assyriche. (so something like: Vengeance/ Warsong of the Assyrians) but hey I didn't complain, I love the style of Nile's lyrics!

  • In right german grammar it would be "Das Rache-Kriegslied der Assyrer" BTW: great song

  • Yeah that'd be it! :)

Damn I wish Karl makes a movie score some day..

  • He has expressed interest in doing something like that. I would enjoy it...he is certainly better at writing this kind of music as well as his solo stuff than what he writes for Nile, Dallas is much better in the metal department in my opinion.

  • Yeah just my opinion. But on the other side Nile without Karl would not be imaginable.

  • Assuming this is based around some kind of archaeological expedition in the 1800's, it might simply just be antiquated German too. I don't know for certain though.

  • i just tried it and he came and gave me a cheesy double beef burrito. shit was SO cash

  • this is so kickass...i wish i had the mp3 :[

  • i have the mp3 somewhere on my pc if i remember correctly

  • btw this is not sumarian its assyrian: siryane and whats to know its just summoning the demon gods of assyrians and some greek gods to revenge the assyrians we need more songs like these mesopotamian and cananits meths fucking rule

  • This is great...

  • Hail thee Mummu, god of Chaos...

  • i saw teh real pazuzu on the south side of chicago man,for true

  • Comment removed

  • what or who is actually pazuzu

  • Where would be elite component? It's a translation, not even complete, with my impression on the group. The previous posted one was not correct, full stop. I don't know Sumerian (XD), i just like Nile, mithology and history. Much wrong with that?

  • Not.

  • This one's so much better than the 1999 "In The Beginning" remake.

  • Don't you just hate elitists...? *coughs and points in a direction not being west, east nor north*

  • Shemti (the mighty Serpent) Shebui (don't know XD)Nehenkau!

    Addu (assyrian king) Nergal Arrallu!

Many times anyway the just quote some expressions, or create new ones which are not very correct, just as the title of this song XD

Great group anyway, I love them as I love ancient history and mithology. Check out also the solo project of Karl Sanders. Amazing.

  • WTF, it's not true. XD

The first part in sumerian is just the invocation, the summoning; the english part is the request. And in english he sings, too (i know, it's difficult to get it but it is XD)

    It should be something like:

"Hail Namtaru! Hail Lammia! Hail Asaku! Hail Pazuzu!"

"Hail Zixul and Azkak! Hail Gula and Pazu! Demon Uggae (god of Death) Utukku (spirit of balance)Xul (evil God)! Hail, Hail, PAZUZU!"

Hail Ningursu (mighty warrior), Hail, Hail Umduggu (who's that XD)!

  • Von Unaussprechlichen Kulten is a quotation from Lovecraft, as many, many lines of Nile are (just listen to In Their Darkened Shrines, for the most clear ones). And yes, that's a GOOD thing.

  • what's up with the german title when the band is from Carolina and their music is supposed to Sumerian/Egyptian influenced

  • Idk. They have a song called Von Unassprechlichen Kulten, which means "Unspeakable Cults" in German.

  • It sounds bad-ass. Period.

  • That, I cannot deny.

  • the best!

  • Could someone please send me this song? I'll go crazy unless I get it, it's superb!

  • holy shit.

  • I think he was a symbol ov the south? wind which was associated with yeah...sickness and shit like that as you said. Incidentally, I think I heard that he also protected mothers during childbirth or protect against spirits that could cause harm to child bearing mothers or something. Please correct me if I'm wrong--this sorta shit fascinates me :D

  • woo nile!!

  • BATTLE METAL!

  • this is one of the most orignal death metal song i've ever heard

  • Not! a sound that would.. normally attract me... but, it has a certain, something :o)

  • That certain something is Awesomeness! There first cd is great in every way

  • this gets your blood pumped like fuck..... pure adrenaline song

  • does anybody knows the translation of the lyrics

    Ia Zixul zi Azkak

    Ia Gula zi Pazu

    Alal uggae Utukku Xul

    Ia Ia Pazuzu ?

you'd make me happy whith it ;)

  • All I know is that Pazuzu is an Egyptian god and has something to do with Locusts and possibly Disease (Think back to the exorcist)

Though I could easily be wrong.

  • stupid pazuzu is a sumerian demon king wind demons

  • Haha, then I was wrong then, no biggie.

  • actually, pazuzu wasn't totally evil, for example women would pray to him in order to protect against lamashtu, a demon that would cause stillborn babies. in this role he was a protective deity.

  • Pazuzu is an ancient Near Eastern god/demon. As far as people know, he was NOT worshipped in ancient Egypt. I know that because i study ancient history.

  • Behemoth has a song called Pazazu, or Christgrinding avenue, or some shit like that.

  • Indeed, i heard it. it's actually pretty good!!!

  • Yep!

I'm trying to practice some Phrygian cords that Nile and Behemoth uses, and let me tell you, it's no easy task.

  • sick

  • and, on that topic... german is well known for it's long compound words... somethiung like 'revenge war song' would result in revengewarsong on german, or, as said below, Vergeltungskriegslied.

but i didn't know that Rache isn't used in war terms... good to know.

  • zarąbisty klimat, bardzo lubie ten song

  • Ia Zixul zi Azkak

    Ia Gula zi Pazu

    Alal uggae Utukku Xul

    Ia Ia Pazuzu

  • No pewno że zajebiste ;) Jest klimat czego imo brak na nowym lp

  • Nawet przezajebiste.

  • bardziej niż przezajebiste, misiu.

  • Miśku Alix, dlaczego mi reply'je robisz? ; D

  • a czemu nie? :D

  • my new favorite song:]

...if only i knew how 2 pronouce the name of it

  • I learned german for 10 years (but since then i've forgotten almost everything), the title in english is "The Assyrians Revenge War Song", and i think the grammar is correct. Not sure though, neither english, nor german are my first languages. But yes, who cares?;)

  • Nope, the grammatic isn't correct.

"Das Rache Lied" would be correct.

  • Correct term:

    "Das Vergeltungskriegslied der Assyrer"

    or

    "Das assyrische Vergeltungskriegslied"

Revenge means Rache, but nobodys uses "Rache" in german war languange.I think we would speak of retalation...

  • Correct.

  • Whats wrong with it?

  • i love it

  • Yea! Burn the flesh of our Enemies

Gash their throats with Weapons of Iron

    Destroy Them utterly

    With Locusts and Disease

  • IA IA PAZUZU

  • The best Nile song ever! Love it!

  • Awesome.
