I am not vibed by this in the least. Fairplay on not doing a note for note version but... this tune is massive. I would have some pretty big testicles to think I could do a version of this and think it was passable unless it was something pretty special. You would be doing that purposefully to have it be mistaken; unlike the band Copeland whose cover is a tribute TO The Police, not some cheap knockoff to steal their thunder. 2. Lennon did Imagine AS a solo artist, meaning it is HIS song. (Stewart) Copeland has no version of his own of Every Breath You Take, meaning it was your own ignorance of both Stewart and Copelands' music that misled you, not a "bait and switch".
