The Godfather: The goodie-two-shoes son of a crime family gets into the family business.

Citizen Kane: The press uncovers the tragic and mysterious life of a media mogul.

Xanadu: Uhh... It's about this girl who's all mysterious, and she falls in love with an artist, and Gene Kelly's in there, and there's a roller disco... and... uh...?

Xanadu fails this test so horribly, it becomes funny.
