  • @xxxRORYKxxxable He probably doesn't want to be compared to his dad, if I was him I'd want to be myself instead of pretending to be George.

  • ?! In some parts, he sounds like Ozzy! Before you disagree, listen to Ozzy's version of "In My Life"

  • I saw them in something like 2005 at the Warner in DC, and when they played this song (near the end of the show, naturally), they literally TORE the place down...the guy playing George (or should I say "Eric Clapton?", shredded the crap out of his guitar, and just went OFF..like REAL rock and roll...people were going nuts, it was that good, it brought tears to the eyes.

  • doesn't sound like George

  • i Saw Them Last November and they were amazing . the played at the Dupont theartre In Wilmington Delaware. If any one going to buy any of their cds I recomend The Show That Never Was its pretty good.

  • I swear...no one in this entire world can ever look like George Harrison, besides Dhani Harrison, of course. Who's like a spitting image. haha. =p

But I've seen many tribute bands, and movies, and even cartoons.

Still, George Harrison can never seem to be re-created. He was truly amazingly unique.

    Just had to mention...hahaha.

This guy is a pretty good sound-a-like though. =]

  • @MaryJaneWhatsername The guy from The Fab Four who plays George looks alot like him, and he's from Liverpool too

  • @DRPaulDJ you are retarted

  • I saw Rain on Broadway and I loved it..These are great musicians that just play the Beatles music but the copy all of their nuances eg John Lennon chewing gum while playing and even the way Ringo moves when he drums...It was a great show..

  • There are now TWO Rain bands. I saw the 'other' one Saturday in Delaware. 'George' was Jimmy Pau from 1964. He rocked. The rest were average at best. Not worth 60 bucks.

  • I have seen "Rain" with other Beatles tribute acts over the years such as "Beatlemania", "1964", The Fab Four", "Abbey Road", & "Magical Mystery Tour" and they are all very good in their presentation of the Beatles music. I think "Rain" really does the whole 9 yards with the look, note for note sound, costumes, antics & overall show!....Look, I am a baby boomer & with all the great bands either dead, broke up or in litigation, these acts are the next best thing to the originals we all love!

  • @johnbarbieri100 I'm with you pal. The Beatles are my all-time favorite Band but I didn't get turned on to them untill 6 years after John's death when Twist & Shout was re-released and charted. I was 10 or 11 at the time. So unless some genius builds a freakin' time machine, tributes like RAIN are my only shot to experience my favorite Band live. (Thankfully I saw Johnny Cash when I was 8 and I've seen "WEIRD AL" several times)

  • OMG im trying to find the song ''Rain'' from and its so hard hahahaa

  • okay ,okay yes they are not the beatles and will never be that good,BUT 2 are dead if you want something good this is probably(now anyways as of 11/6/10) are the best 2nd to them

  • should get a eric clapton cover bloek to play the solos would be awesome :D

  • I just saw these guys last night, they were better than I had expected.

  • When I went to see these guys "Geroge" sang the intro and everything in accapella the @ the solo the drums kicked in guitar bass and everything!!! IT WAS PURE GENIUS!!

  • those of you saying they're better than the beatles... you're wrong. the beatles are the ones that created these songs. and who played them throughout years and made the songs AND the band. these people may be good and arguably the best tribute band. but they cannot compare to the beatles. you could give a couple kids instruments and make them practice a couple beatles songs and say hey look! the new beatles! but that's not how it works... these guys are good at recreating not creating.

  • @DrPaulDJ i dont think you noticed but the beatles played live also. they stopped in 66-67. but after the beatles were done they started playing live again and sounded just like the recording

  • I am the biggest Beatles fan there is. I followed the Beatles every minute of the day since I first heard I Want To Hold Your Hand on the radio. They were pioneers of Rock. BUT...they sucked Live. Look at the technology. They were studio musicians. George Martin worked his magic in the studio. They really did suck at live performances. Rain is better at pulling off the Live performance. The speakers are much more technologically advanced.

  • I think the guy that does Paul is amazing with the vocals.

  • i am going to rain in june!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I saw RAIN in Philadelphia this year, and While My Guitar Gently Weeps was absolutely the highlight of the show. The guitar solos were spectacular.

My only problem with it, in the interest of the level of accuracy that RAIN aspires to, is that George didn't play the lead guitar on the Beatles' version. Eric Clapton did.

  • Man every time i hear this song a always get emotional. when I saw them in salisbury, he play this song. everytime was giving a standingh ovation for the guy. and this was shortly after George passed away. man it was awsome. definatly my favorite beatles song

  • when i saw them, they mixed the acoustic version with this one. was amazing.

  • nmm,nm,bn,,bnnfgrfjkvndjfnndjnbjnnnnnnnnbjmchjjmf;on

  • Saw them live last week! Man I can't believe how much they sound like the Beatles. The guy who plays George is also an epic guitar player. This was the best song they played IMO. Only at the concert I went to, he was a bit more spot on with the vocals

  • he may not sound identical to George's singing but he is great w/ the guitar! :-D

  • actually, the guy playing harrison is Joe Bithorn

  • Saw them in Philly. They started their version in acoustic and then jumped into electric on the solo. It blew the pace down! Tom Teely who plays Harrsion is the best I've seen. He played in Beatlemania on Broadway.

  • Omg they are soo good

  • I almost cried as i heard him the guitar line, i could hear that guitar crying out like George wanted it too. And this man was able to do that.

  • gonna go see them TODAY! :-D McAllen, TX

  • going to see them tomorrow! can't wait.

are you guys from san antonio?

  • I saw them last night and they were awesome!!

  • going to see them tonight!

  • i saw rain live a week ago in atlana it was waesome

  • ultimate

  • YEAH JOE BITHORN!!

This man has made me cry the last two nights when he played this! It was absolutely amazing.

  • He sounds more like Ozzy Osbourne. Bootleg Beatles def still the best though... I've been researching the tributes on here. Yay go spread the word - the Beatles still rock.

  • haha During the guitar solo at this song, My dad got up from his seat and yelled "That boy can play!!" then looked at me and said "That man is a world class guitarist!" This band is awesome!

  • I have tickets to go see them tonight! I am so excited!

  • dont u love how they change over time periods and on i am walrus its so physcodelic

  • <3 <3

  • wheres clapton?

  • Saw these guys live in Alabama, they rock!

  • but do these guys do every song too freakin slow... another one dragging. and who is playing the guitar solo?

  • american english are a much better tribute band but these guys rock too

  • YAY for American English, saw them 9 times and loved them every single time!!!!!! My favorite AE member is Doug Courture, he rocks my Beatles world!!!! I love Rain, but I love American English more!!!!

  • I've never seen Rain live but they sound very good. I have seen American English and they were awesome. I saw about a half dozen performances of the original Beatlemania on Broadway and American English was just as good.

  • these guys are the best tribute band there is or maybe american english

  • Dude, I saw them last night!!! They absolutely nailed this song!!! My friend and I sang along to every song. It was... amazing.

  • thanks for your response.i'm looking forward to seeing them.

  • Just saw them last night; St Louis at a venue called the Fox Theater. Just awesome the entire production! Very moving to me...moved to tears several times...God love them...God love the Beatles.!!!!!

  • just a question i'm seeing them in may. i've seen another tribute band called "the fab four" they were great but they basically played all the famous songs nothing from abbey road or revolver....

do these guys play other less recognized songs.

  • elcuete76, it seemed to me they touched every album released...I could be wrong but thinking back they went all the way up to "Let it Be"

  • I saw Rain November 15 2008 in nashville.

    Best show ever!

the "George" nailed his part on this song!

  • i saw them in wilmington nov 22 2008. best concert ive seen ever

  • this was the best song that they did at the show that I saw

    very good

  • I saw them a few days ago.

    they were amazing.

    :)

  • I saw them last night!!!

  • I saw them this weekend. They were really good!

  • This is an amateur video by a fan - not exactly sound=board quality, so how can you complain?

The BEATLES never performed this song live.I've seen the Beatles live, and these guys do an amazing job. I closed my eyes and it took me back 40 years.

  • They killed this song in a good way when I saw them in Dayton.

  • O wow...i saw them in dayton to...what show were u at?

  • It was back in December, a week or two from X-Mas.

  • i saw them at a private concert for my uncle's realty company, they were amazing

  • I saw them at the Cape cod melody tent last night and it was an impeccable performance including a four song encore!

  • i was there too they were flawless

  • Me too. I brought tears to my eyes.

  • just saw them live tonight, this song got the biggest crowd response and the first standing O of the night!!

  • Omg this was amazing when I saw it,

they started out acoustic then went to electric and everything.

it was great, i got chills.

  • Die-hard Beatles fan here. I saw Rain this evening and thuroughly enjoyed These mock Beatles. It was kinda like listening to a gifted pianist playing Moonlight Sonata. You know, you wouldhave loved to be around to hear Beethoven play it himself but since that`s not happening; the gifted pianist might be the next best thing.

  • i loved this

    best song they did

  • Isaw these guys live...they were amzaing best beatles tribute band evar

    peace, love, and The Beatles

  • I`m going to see them in May. Exactly how long was the performance?? please.

  • it was about 2 hours

  • I dont know about EXACT, but very, VERY close. I noticed a few differences in vocals, but thats what I kinda expected.

  • Oh yeah, this guys voice is more dried out than George's.

  • There is only ONE Beatles. They were it!! I simply wanted to see how outraged people would get with one remark. Thank you all for your loyalty.

  • i think they came to st louis last year. now that i hear that there this good i would of lvoed to go

  • All Rain does is copy what the Beatles do. They don't have any of the creativity as the Beatles did, and the Beatles were great musicians.

  • And once again, I am going to disagree with you.

  • Let me say this. I have seen all four play live, on several occasions, back in the seventies. Except for Harrison, the others were not so good in a live setting. The 4 guys in Rain play live and flawlessly. I am done. Let's say we all agree to disagree. Peace and Love.

  • Much better musicians? Than the Beatles? These guys? Um... no.

  • @DrPaulDJ r u HONESTLY saying that they are better than the beatles

  • @DrPaulDJ Better then the Beatles? No. Good as a cover? Amazing.

  • @DrPaulDJ Dude, the Beatles DID Play live you know... George Martin did not do all of the Sound...

  • @TheTruthFairy so are you saying these guys aren't?

  • @TheTruthFairy Yes, I agree with you. They were Great Musicians and Songwriters.

    except for Ringo.

  • @TheTruthFairy they're a tribute band why wouldn't they copy everything they do? i wouldnt want to see them put their own spin on the beatles. rain are great musicians because theyve managed to fully replicate one of the greatest bands of all time. they arent saying they are as good as the beatles were but when you see them you feel like you are watching the beatles perform and its amazing.

  • @kevypaul10 Not sayin' they shouldn't copy the Beatles, it's their job, just sayin' the Beatles are better.

  • @TheTruthFairy well obviously......

  • @TheTruthFairy I disagree. I adore the Beatles, and while I do agree they were definitely EXTREMELY talented, I don't think that should by any means berate the talent of RAIN and other Beatles cover bands. They may be copying music, but they are still very talented musicians, and it's extremely difficult to copy a song so closely. I'm sure they do some original stuff at home too :)

  • @TheTruthFairy And all Reese Witherspoon did was act and sing like June Carter and they gave her an Oscar for it! Dumb Ass!

  • @JMYodaTHX If I can remember at all what I was saying in a post I said two years ago, all I mean is that the Beatles are better musicians than Rain. I thoroughly enjoyed Rain, which is why I went to see them twice, but if they had the creativity and talent that The Beatles did, then they would be famous as their own band, not a tribute band.

  • @TheTruthFairy All I'm saying is it takes real talent. Of course not on the level of the Beatles but neither is Oasis and they get compared to the Beatles.. Look at J Phoenix and R Witherspoon as Johnny Cash and June Carter, both Oscar nom, Reese won. S Spacek won for playing Loretta Lynn and G Busey was nominated for playing Buddy Holly. In all the reviews for all those it was the music performances ppl talked about the most. What these guys do is comparable. (We might be on the same page here)

  • I'll have to disagree as well.

  • There is only ONE Beatles. They were it!! I simply wanted to see how outraged people would get with one remark. Thank you all for your loyalty.

  • @DrPaulDJ your messed up,you basically just said that the greatest band is shit the Beatles are awesome and your saying they are better? this tribute band is nothing without the Beatles, if the Beatles didn't exist then band you call "better than the real Beatles" wouldn't exist either because they didn't write the songs the BEATLES did

  • @DrPaulDJ Dude, you are tripping! You obviously aren't a musician! Compared to the three-chord BS of the day, they represented a major shift in music theory! Ever try to play "Blackbird" or "Here Comes the Sun" on the guitar? Granted, it's not Jimi Hendrix, but it's not easy either. You must be thinking of The Monkees!

  • I saw The Beatles live twice. They're not that good outside the studio.

  • @DrPaulDJ Yes they are, Maybe all of the screaming on the Audience covered it up, and they DID do GREAT a music! sorry, i disagree with you

  • Better than the Beatles?! You're insane.

  • read my reply, mate.

  • Right on! They rocked the house! The guy playing George got more applause than the rest and it was due in part to this guitar solo!!

  • AHH I SAW THEM AT THE FOX TOO! i dont they're better than the beatles tho.

  • I just saw them like an hour ago in St Louis they are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • best was imagine by lennon but not actually him obviously

  • I saw rain the 26th in effingham illinois and this song was flippin amazing we wer in like the 3 row and everyone was one ther feet it was awesome

  • Effingham is the place with the obnoxious 60-foot cross beside the highway, right?

  • Yes that would be Effingham. That's where I'm from. I went to this show too..this song was definitely amazing..by far my favorite.

But supposedly their amps were completely hollow..no working electrical equipment inside. I'm sure they're legit to a degree, but that kinda makes you scratch your head a little.

  • I saw this last night, Awesome! This was clearly one of the best....

  • There are two versions of the song, george does play on the original, and clapton is on another.

  • Clapton plays on the version that is on the White Album

  • this was AMAZING live. it brought tears to my eyes. i miss u john and george!

  • good thing clapton did it..i love george but he cant play like slowhand...im goin to see rain on feb. 2! CANT WAIT

  • It's true - Eric Clapton did perform the solo on the Beatles recording. Of course it went uncredited, but George himself has revealed this.

Saw Rain a few weeks ago and they were fantastic!!! This song got the biggest response of the evening.

  • Wait, what?! Eric Clapton played the guitar, not George?

    </3

  • yea eric clapton was brought to the studio because when george had presented the song to john and paul before they didnt take it seriously, so once he brought clapton in according to george, paul got on the piano and played the nice little intro, and the rest is history

  • Saw Rain - The Beatles Experience in Raleigh on November 16. Had heard about them for many years, but first time seeing them live. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" brought the crowd to its feet - the guitar work at the end is absolutely awesome. See this group if you get a chance!!!

  • the very best tribute band out there.... joe bithorn does the best vesion of this song...nobody does this any better, including jimmy pou tom teeley etc.. joe is by far the best george out there

  • could you find some more and post the links?

  • Can't you just search for them yourself?

  • this is by far the best song i saw them do

  • Yeah it is pretty sweet.

  • Except Eric Clapton did the solo...

  • What? That wasn't Eric Clapton.

  • actually eric did one solo in the actual song and george did one.

  • That guy did an even better solo than George when I saw them March 15 in Seattle.

  • i was there too applebonker...great show i seen them about 4 times now...

  • You saw it 4 times in a row? Didn't it get a bit repetitive?

  • haha aw you didnt get the kick ass guitar solos. but still. this was soo well done. i saw them in toronto and it was so good i saw them again last night! im glad you got videos haha

  • I saw this band Jan 20th in Toronto. The guitar in this song gave me goose bumps!
