I see none of the prophets in the Bible talking about Jesus' mother doing great things. Jesus was conceived of a virgin which was the work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was raised from the dead by God. Mary was a vessel All the Glory goes to God.

And yes I know that God does all the work and not Mary alone. However, God did not just chose Mary to be a vessel.

But God is not a liar and He revealed things through His prophets and nowhere in scripture does it say that Mary was anything other than a vessel. (Ofcourse, I can't speak on behalf of all catholics when I say this), but some of us catholics are very honest and regard The Lord with great reverance. Catholic "repetitions" are not only prayers but meditations. The more we repeat the same prayer over and over, the more this prayer becomes a part of us. Google online rosary and find out yourself. We also as catholics pray to The Lord with our own hearts as well.
