Just because one person thought it was "Ancient Romanian" and this mistaken assumption somehow got spread all around the internet doesn't mean it's true!
Just to reiterate, this song is not "Ancient Romanian" only. There are words borrowed from various languages (Romanian being one among them), and maybe even some made-up words.
I have a reference, but I can't seem to post the link on here (keeps giving an error). :(
The person who said that this song's lyrics are "a nonsense mix of languages" is absolutely correct. The lyrics do indeed consist of a bunch of words taken from various languages. Some of it is Romanian, and some of it is not. When that person made that comment, she was referring to the SONG, not to the Ancient Romanian language.
This version of the song is called Sora, and is sung by Shanti Snyder. There is another version called Sora's Folktale, sung by Midori. "Sora's Theme" is not one of the official titles as given on the soundtrack. Sora is also the name of one of the characters in the movie.
Who is the girl in the beach with the scarf ( i think) in the hand watching the sunset and two seconds later transforms in a guy or something? what FF is that?
And the clip with the warrior charging against that bahamuth, who is he¿? wich FF? thx a lot :)
Holy shit, it's in ancient Romanian. Look it up you tards. And as for "its a nonsense mix of languages..lyk french n dutch n german n spanish n other languages" - go die you stupid, stupid, grammatically incompetent whore.
No, actually. Romanian is a Romance language and evolved separately from the Germanic languages, even though it did contribute to the old French and Spanish languages (among others). Nevertheless, the aforementioned comment deserves no credence because Ancient Romanian is far from a "nonsense mix" of languages that it had little affiliation with.
I think the fact the poster relegated the particular song as "nonsense mix" of languages suggests they were ignorant of Ancient Romanian language to begin with; and concluded, the song was mix of French, Dutch, German, etc. So, I think the origin of Ancient Romanian and its affiliation to other languages becomes irrelevant.
it is called sora's theme cuz it is from Escaflowne the movie. The woman is named sora, not sora from kingdom hearts!!! I LOVE THE SONG! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND IT, AND HERE IT IS!
Gee, i came into the video read the comments and was like oh god not another gay song arguement but gee thats pretty good
