He says that circumcision removes "both the inner and outer folds" of the penis. Actually, it depends on the method of circumcision used. Some methods DO remove both layers of the foreskin. Other methods remove only/ mainly the outer layer, leaving the inner layer fully or almost fully intact. When the inner layer is not removed, most of the sensitive skin remains. Unfortunately in the US the usual ("bell-clamp") method of circumcision removes much of the inner layer.

Contrary to what this guy says, circumcision doesn't necessarily remove "both" the inner and outer folds of the foreskin. It depends on what circumcision method is used. Some methods remove both folds, some remove only the outer fold (not sensitive) and not the inner fold (which is the sensitive one). I'm not an advocate for routine infant circ, but it bugs me when youtube presentations get the facts wrong.
kkallebb, I'm not an expert on circumcision, but as fas as I know, infant circumcision always involves removal of inner and outer folds. Also, I would expect removal of the outer fold to impact (especially with time) on the inner one, reducing its sexual funcition.
It is not the case that infant circumcision always removes the inner fold. Where and when I was born(Canada, early 60s) they used the "forceps guided" technique which (at least as then practiced)left quite a lot of skin in general, and especially a large amount (often two inches or more) or inner skin. However, now it is more common to use the bell-clamp technique, which does seem to remove more inner skin (though not more outer) and produce a generally "tighter" result.
The fact that a group of people would cut the most sensitive part of their bodies up because its written in a book, with no justification or reason given, really tells you something about religion. Only in the last 150 or so years have medical rationale appeared for the procedure. In the 19th, 20th century it was said to prevent masturbation and cure dementia, bedwetting, bunch of other crazy shit. Now its moved to STD's.

He says that circumcision removes "both the inner and outer folds" of the penis. Actually, it depends on the method of circumcision used. Some methods DO remove both layers of the foreskin. Other methods remove only/ mainly the outer layer, leaving the inner layer fully or almost fully intact. When the inner layer is not removed, most of the sensitive skin remains. Unfortunately in the US the usual ("bell-clamp") method of circumcision removes much of the inner layer.

I wasn't circumcised as a child but chose to have it done at age 20. I did it mostly because it seemed 99% of guys were circumcised and I felt like an odd ball. But as far as sexual experience its just as good in my opinion. I don't feel like I've lost a great deal or anything like that. I think it's a westernized thing that became tradition, and moms and dads don't want their sons to be picked on in gym class, and laughed at by women their whole life. It's uncommon in the states, (yes not in the rest of the world, but this is where I live.) It's the norm here, and If it's done RIGHT, there aren't problems. It's just our culture, and society. It's too bad you can't get those nerve endings back. But at least stretching it will cover the glans and undo some of the keratinization that has occurred, and reduce friction when having sex. I've been stretching mine for about a month now. I can just barely notice a difference in the tightness now. Hopefully it will be worth the several months it will take.

Contrary to what this guy says, circumcision doesn't necessarily remove "both" the inner and outer folds of the foreskin. It depends on what circumcision method is used. Some methods remove both folds, some remove only the outer fold (not sensitive) and not the inner fold (which is the sensitive one). I'm not an advocate for routine infant circ, but it bugs me when youtube presentations get the facts wrong.

kkallebb, I'm not an expert on circumcision, but as fas as I know, infant circumcision always involves removal of inner and outer folds. Also, I would expect removal of the outer fold to impact (especially with time) on the inner one, reducing its sexual funcition.

It is not the case that infant circumcision always removes the inner fold. Where and when I was born(Canada, early 60s) they used the "forceps guided" technique which (at least as then practiced)left quite a lot of skin in general, and especially a large amount (often two inches or more) or inner skin. However, now it is more common to use the bell-clamp technique, which does seem to remove more inner skin (though not more outer) and produce a generally "tighter" result.

Only in the last 150 or so years have medical rationale appeared for the procedure. In the 19th, 20th century it was said to prevent masturbation and cure dementia, bedwetting, bunch of other crazy shit. Now its moved to STD's.

I'm given to understand that in America this is common for both religious and cosmetic reasons.
So... When women in the Middle East are circumcised (mutilated) on religious grounds, that's a human rights issue.
