Nope, its a 1.8 liter "jap" Isuzu 4fb1 from a diesel chevette. Why run anything other than a "jap" diesel when they design the best, such the duramax haha.

lol no way is isuzu the best sir navistar or cummins =)!!!! too bad a 4BT cummins wouldnt fit in there lol... 105-130HP n 400 Lbs/ft

Yes, fueling was increased greatly.

Or is a lot of power lost through transmission and bigg nobbly tires so the dyno reading is deceptive?

@johnnyheyob did it have a "EGR Valve" if so that could be why theres so much black smoke my dad has a 2.8 turbo deisel Pajero and had alot of smoke from that, as soon as he took the vacuum hose off the EGR there was very little smoke.

lol i though the EGR was meant to be economic lol...
