Hello, I really enjoy this video and song, and it will no longer play.. The loading symbol in the middle of screen is gone, and start and stop arrows aren't there, either. Can anybody help or at least explain, please? This is a wonderful video and song; I hope to be able to play it again. I am also having difficulty playing a number of other you tube videos, also; is anyone else? Is there a system problem? Thanks for any suggestions. I

There is no message on top of page that video has been removed, as is usually the case when a video has been taken down, however, in that case, the whole page would be gone. Das Wahlergebniss von Saddam fand ich auch geil:) Naja, aber die Chinesen haben schon einen gewissen Nationalstolz, bei den Olympischen Spielen haben sich die Augen der Welt auf China gerichtet, bei so einer hohen Bevölkerungszahl ist ein sozialsystem wie hier nicht möglich und da alles etwas unter Kontrolle zu halten ist die Überwachen und Zensur da schon nicht die schlechteste Entscheidung. I'm glad that two of three in my life were happy occasions!

Tolles Video, perfekter Song. Ich bin selbst in der DDR aufgewachsen und hätte nie gedacht, dass es die Mauer einmal nicht mehr geben wird. Ich erinnere mich noch an meinen ersten Besuch in Westberlin, ich stand im Kadewe und kam nicht aus dem Staunen heraus. Kapitalismus pur :) Im Grunde müsste man jeden Tag dankbar sein, dass die Mauer fiel. Ich hätte soviele Dinge nicht erleben können, die ich in meinem Leben gemacht habe.
Einer der tollsten Augenblicke in meinem Leben, auch wenn ich damals noch recht jung war. Wohnte damals in Ostberlin und konnte mir nicht vorstellen, dass es die Mauer einmal nicht mehr geben wird. Ich erinnere mich an meinen ersten Besuch in Westberlin, ich stand im Kadewe und kam aus dem Staunen nicht mehr raus. Am Ende kauften wir eine Gießkanne, die hätte es in der DDR natürlich auch gegeben lol. Tolles Video, toller Song. Möge diese Zeit nie wieder zurückkommen.
danke @FrankieLarry und natürlich ist längst nicht alles 100% super gelaufen nach dem 09.11.1989 aber sowas wie das prägt einen fürs Leben und bleibt unvergeßlich für mich, es war ähnlich wie für Sie, nur eben von der umgekehrten Seite und meinen ersten(LOL) "illegalen" Grenzübertritt von West nach Ost hatte ich dann im Dezember(noch vor der Grenzöffnung am Brandenburger Tor)einfach durch ein Loch i.d.Mauer was übrigens damals noch durchaus mit 500DM Strafe belegt wurde wäre ich erwischt worden.

Einfacher und Beständiger ist es seit dem sicherlich nicht geworden.
Da hat sich das Volk noch darüber gefreut, sich von der SED befreit zu haben. In der Demokratie nun, die diese Partei bekämpfte, fällt es auf ihre West-Kritik und Versprechungen der Segnungen des Sozialismus rein und wählt sie.
Great video! I grew up in West Berlin. Have pieces of it too. Every person who stands up for freedom, fights for freedom and embraces it, are truly citizens of Berlin. Hopefully the history of Berlin will forever be a reminder to the whole world, to stand up and fight for everyone's freedom instead of just worrying about their own little world...
Everytime I see pictures or films about 1989 I feel deeply moved... I lived in GDR, was 9 when the wall was teared down. Since then I enjoyed freedom. I could never ever have done all this when GDR still existed. Thank God that some wise men draw the right conclusion and ended communism

Nice video. Last year I was in Berlin, great place, but for people like me interested in the wall theme its dificult to find the still living places beyond the museums. I might be wrong but I thing the german goverment should preserve more the east era historical places and stop the building of big corporatives over the zone. That kind of buildings they're beauty, but we have it in all our global capitalist world. And to me the greatest thing about Berlin its his living history in the streets.

Growing up in America, communism was the common enemy, the great evil. Yet, it is a government with appealing qualties and serious fauls, just like all forms of government. No way of leading the people is perfect, not even capitalism. But this video is great because it shows that the wall was a difficult burden for people of both sides, and how they rejoiced when the could come together again, to be the people of Berlin.

Great job!! I like the soundtrack, please tell me the name of this song... my friend was journalist, He was there that historic night and helped to destroy this wall... Nowdays he preserves pieces of this wall in his house.

So, I didn't get a chunk of the wall. But I painted something on the wall in 1981. So now, somebody's got a chunk of the wall with part of my "masterpiece" on it. That kind of makes up for it ;)

Das Wahlergebniss von Saddam fand ich auch geil:) Naja, aber die Chinesen haben schon einen gewissen Nationalstolz, bei den Olympischen Spielen haben sich die Augen der Welt auf China gerichtet, bei so einer hohen Bevölkerungszahl ist ein sozialsystem wie hier nicht möglich und da alles etwas unter Kontrolle zu halten ist die Überwachen und Zensur da schon nicht die schlechteste Entscheidung. Vieles ist natürlich auch nicht richtig. Aber für gefärlich halte ich persönlich den Islam.

Tja, Demokratie hat auch ein paar gute Seiten. Aber Entscheidungen zu treffen, die wichtig sind dauern in einer Demokratie einfach viel zu lange, Bis deutschland neues Gesetz einfürt vergehen Jahre. Du kennst vieleicht das Spröchwort:"Jeden Menschen recht getan ist eine Kunst die Keiner kann". Die Chinesen stehen voll hinter ihrer Partei!!! Das solltest du eigentlich wissen. Die Umfragen in China zu den Spielen waren doch eimdeutig oder? Kurz gesagt Sie hassen den Westen!!!

Habe mit keinem Wort gesagt das ich Nordkorea gut finde! Du findest Deutschland bestimmt auch nicht rundum richtig toll! Zur Genaerationsfrage, PISA ist ganz aktuell, darüber brauchen wir doch nicht zu diskutiren.
Auswandern? Das ist meine Heimat, ich gehe hier doch nicht weg nur weil wir in einer Demokratie leben. Ich finde eben den Kommunismus besser als du und jeder darf nunmal seine Meinug haben. Da wir uns gegenseitig nicht umstimmen können sollten wir es dabei belassen, oder?

Nenne mir doch mal die Werte und Ideale die deine so tolle Demokratie vermittelt!!! Eine Welt die sich zu tode feiert! Die neue Generation verblödet, die Familien sterben aus! Ein Hoch auf diese Demokratie! Nur noch das tun was geil ist und spaß macht. Einen Finger in der Nase und den anderen auf der Fernbedinung! Was willst du damit sagen? Im Iran und in Nordkorea, sagen Sie das auch. Obwohl ich mich vom Iran disdanziere!!! Bush ist genau so ein mörder wie Stalin. Er macht eben Iraker platt. Es gibt eben verschiedene Sichtweisen. Du siehst es eben anders als ich, dafür kannst du nichts, ist aber schon ok:) Der Kommunismus ist Tod? Auserdem wenn du der deutschen Sprache mächtig bist, dann kannst du ja mal versuchen ein Buch zu lesen, es gibt viele interesante Literatur zu diesem Thema. Versuche es mal zivilisirt und nenne mal ein paar Argumente die deine Meinung untermauern. Fange aber bitte nicht mit indizien, sowas passirt ständig. Also dann, Rot Front Genosse:)

This was one of those historical moments that one remembers where they were when it happened and never forgets that for the rest of their life. For my parents, it was Pearl Harbor and the JFK Assination; for me it was Neil Armstrong walking on the Moon; The Fall of the Berlin Wall, and of course 911. I'm glad that two of three in my life were happy occasions!

Tolles Video, perfekter Song. Ich bin selbst in der DDR aufgewachsen und hätte nie gedacht, dass es die Mauer einmal nicht mehr geben wird. Ich erinnere mich noch an meinen ersten Besuch in Westberlin, ich stand im Kadewe und kam nicht aus dem Staunen heraus. Kapitalismus pur :) Im Grunde müsste man jeden Tag dankbar sein, dass die Mauer fiel. Ich hätte soviele Dinge nicht erleben können, die ich in meinem Leben gemacht habe.

Einer der tollsten Augenblicke in meinem Leben, auch wenn ich damals noch recht jung war. Wohnte damals in Ostberlin und konnte mir nicht vorstellen, dass es die Mauer einmal nicht mehr geben wird. Ich erinnere mich an meinen ersten Besuch in Westberlin, ich stand im Kadewe und kam aus dem Staunen nicht mehr raus. Am Ende kauften wir eine Gießkanne, die hätte es in der DDR natürlich auch gegeben lol. Tolles Video, toller Song. Möge diese Zeit nie wieder zurückkommen.

danke @FrankieLarry und natürlich ist längst nicht alles 100% super gelaufen nach dem 09.11.1989 aber sowas wie das prägt einen fürs Leben und bleibt unvergeßlich für mich, es war ähnlich wie für Sie, nur eben von der umgekehrten Seite und meinen ersten(LOL) "illegalen" Grenzübertritt von West nach Ost hatte ich dann im Dezember(noch vor der Grenzöffnung am Brandenburger Tor)einfach durch ein Loch i.d.Mauer was übrigens damals noch durchaus mit 500DM Strafe belegt wurde wäre ich erwischt worden.

sehr schönes video. für jemanden wie mich, der in einem wiedervereinigten deutschland aufgewachsen ist. ist ein geteiltes deutschland nur sehr schwer vorstellbar. daher bin ich sehr dankbar für solche videos mit original aufnahmen. die dieses kapitel deutscher geschichte ein wenig begreifbarer erscheinen lassen. vielen dank dafür.

Danke, und das mit dem Rückgängig machen, bezieht sich ja wahrscheinlich eher auf die Folgen der gesamten Entwicklung sei 1989 und das ist teilweise auch verständlich.
Einfacher und Beständiger ist es seit dem sicherlich nicht geworden.

Da hat sich das Volk noch darüber gefreut, sich von der SED befreit zu haben. In der Demokratie nun, die diese Partei bekämpfte, fällt es auf ihre West-Kritik und Versprechungen der Segnungen des Sozialismus rein und wählt sie.

Great video! I grew up in West Berlin. Have pieces of it too. Every person who stands up for freedom, fights for freedom and embraces it, are truly citizens of Berlin. Hopefully the history of Berlin will forever be a reminder to the whole world, to stand up and fight for everyone's freedom instead of just worrying about their own little world...

Everytime I see pictures or films about 1989 I feel deeply moved... I lived in GDR, was 9 when the wall was teared down. Since then I enjoyed freedom. I could never ever have done all this when GDR still existed. Thank God that some wise men draw the right conclusion and ended communism

Lots of people would trade being unemployed and unemployable but technically having 'free speech' for security and stability but having to put up with the Stasi. BRD screwed over the Eastern Laender badly. Their huge social welfare and infrastructural investments there only offset the destruction they needlessly exacted on DDR businesses, so the East, outside of Berlin-Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, isn't progressing. Nice video. Last year I was in Berlin, great place, but for people like me interested in the wall theme its dificult to find the still living places beyond the museums. I might be wrong but I thing the german goverment should preserve more the east era historical places and stop the building of big corporatives over the zone. That kind of buildings they're beauty, but we have it in all our global capitalist world. And to me the greatest thing about Berlin its his living history in the streets.

Me being from East Germany, it's the best feeling in the world to be free after over 40 yrs of being kept in a coutry where u were't even able to speak out your thoughts. Growing up in America, communism was the common enemy, the great evil. Yet, it is a government with appealing qualties and serious fauls, just like all forms of government. No way of leading the people is perfect, not even capitalism. Wonderful video! I was born 20 days after the day of the fall! =D I feel kinda spiritually close to that event. Are there still ruins left? I'd love to go and see them. =)

Communism had 72 years to prove itself as a system of government and all it proved itself to be was an instrument of torture, murder, repression and environmental destruction. Stalin killed millions of his own and engineered a famine which killed 7 million Ukrainians. The "defences" of the Berlin Wall were pointed INWARD at the East Germans - aimed at them, and not at the "fascist, imperial" West. If this is a just, fair and humane system of government, then the Pope is not a Catholic.
