"If you find his lips don't thrill you like mine used to do. And you see me smiling at you when he's holding you." That part always makes me giggle. ^^,
This is by far my favorite Dean Martin song. The lyrics, the velvety voice, the arrangement..... it just all came together in one great song. One of my other favorites is "Shades" from the same album. Do you have that one Soulkissin?
grew up listening to this l.p on our posh radiogram (ooh!)...could someone please post my number one all time song, the truly great...Ain't Gonna Try Anymore.......fab
I love the photos with this song - it takes you away from the nightclubs....that are all a bit surreal...and, instead, it all looks so natural and real (if that makes sense....?!!!), and, had he stopped smoking here, 'cos, as we can see, he had put on a little bit of weight - (not unappealing!!!) Mind you, I WOULD like to see dates, on all the pictures on this posting - and, indeed on ALL the pictures on this site.....'cos they would help 'tell the story', of "Where and When"....!!!!
excellent comments, I was trying to capture his real passion using pics of Dino on the golf course. Reminds me of the video of Dean singing "I Take A Lot of Pride In What I Am" at California Sea World. I don't know where the pics of Alize fit, but I thought it would work.
@nannalynnightowl He never started smoke. His coolness and charm didn´t need that thing that should be forbidden to people that gave, and still give, great moments to others (family, friends, fans) like Dean Martin.
My mom and dad used to dance to this song in our living room when we were kids. Dean Martin was a staple in our music collection from a very young age and so we learned to appreciate him and other artists like him. Still playing his RECORDS to this day.
In the bottom Jerry Lewis like more Dean than Frank Sinatra.

Great song, made even better by a brilliant arrangement. They don't do it like that any more...
Who's tha girl? She doesn't look old enough to have been born with Dino recorded this.

She's 25 year old Alizée Jacotey, a French singer.
