Ever purchased a gun and did a background check? They know where you live, what you own. They will simply label you a terrorist, and under our newly past law you will be required to turn yourself in. You can get that from barnes and nobels for 10 bucks it's called the army survivl guide and gives everything you meationed. plus not to meation saving on ink unless you print it out at work that is if you still have a job. :(

PLEASE try to get the LDS manual info asap...I am trying to get everything we need. For years I have studied on how to be totally self-sufficient and how to make things the "old-fashioned" way. I have a big family to care for and need all the help we can get.
I'm an atheist and former member of the LDS church and while I don't agree with their religious motivations for prepping I am willing to admit that Mormons take this sort of thing very seriously and tend to know what they're doing when it comes to disaster prepardness, so I will get this book. Howdy from SC. I just went to the web site to down load the manual. Took about 10 seconds. Saved it as a pdf in my iBooks library. Now I have it on my iPad/ iPod touch. Thanks for the info. I've been doing a little prepping but mostly on the energy side. Made my own solar panels and wind turbines. I'm working on a wood gasifier. You can get plans for a wood gassifier on the fema web site. It's easy to build.I even made a couple of alcohol stoves and wood gas stoves. I recomend the wood gas stove
sir you put the prep in preperation .... i live in montana were every one has 20-30 guns but... my father and i believe the usa will have a revolution so we have been prepping.. not as much as you but what we can do... so any tipps such as how many people would be good to be with if something ever did happen

Hey Southernprepper1, love your videos. Have you checked out the "hesperian foundation" site, they have two free downloads- "where there is no doctor" and "where there is no dentist" they contain a lot of great info. I printed them up two pages per side on both sides of a sheet to save on size (love my Kodak printer) and I think I'm going to vacuum seal them along with all my important prepper books to protect until needed. Keep up the superb work.

Hi , I am an old guy ,but new to prepping . Recently I have felt the need to really get serious about the food aspect. As a strong Christian I allways feel uncomfortable when my family think I am devoting too much time to preparing. I have even been told that I should not worry so much because God will provide for us. I think God will give me the esources and is calling me to get ready. Do you feel that our faith is weak if we do not trust God to provide our needs ?
I read the manual and it is awesome lots of good information. I did not appreciate the segment about how all the looting will be done by Blacks and mocking the way Blacks speak. When SHTF people from ALL races will be looting all walks of life. Also there are Hispanics, Whites, and Asians living the inner cities today. In the words of DEMCAD"its hard being a black prepper "cause when the SHTF we are looked at as the threat... not true :(
This book is AMAZING. I am not a Mormon, and even though I disagree with their religion, these guys definitely seem to have their heads screwed on straight! This book shows the authors are more "on" than the mass majority of people, and I am indebted to the great advice and the usefulness of this extensively compiled resource.

I got my LDS prepper manual in the mail today. Its awesome! A little disconcerning though when it shows you actually how much food by bulk and weight, one years food is for one adult. And thats just "keeping fed, but left hungery." What an eye opener...
LDS? Umm, I generaly try to stay away from them, being an Atheist. Generally I am considered an enemy. Do you think they would mind me getting a copy anyway though? I guess it does not matter to much really, I just try to stay away from people who have a good strong hatred for me.

I am not sure where you are getting that idea and if someone of our faith treated you badly, I am really sorry for that. @Jesses001 The LDS people generally are kind and giving. You might want to check out their dry pack cannery where they will help you get your main storage staples together in sealed #10 cans. Of course, you will have to spend a few hours helping to can the food. It's quite an experience and no one will push their beliefs on you there. They will sell it to you at cost. They make no profit. The LDS church is usually the first on scene with food,clothing, etc. in disasters worldwide.

Deseret Industries is the Mormon Goodwill. You can often purchase these manuals through these locations. Otherwise Deseret Books might alos be a source.

I removed some post because they are distracting to the purpose of getting good survival information out. Hossusmc made a statement and he needs to clarify it further so he will do a video on this matter. I spoke to him just a second ago and found out what he means by his statement. He believes something different and doesnt want to support the LDS church because he feels they teach things that go against what he believes. This forum it hard to explain yourself and have a discussion/
@southernprepper1 2nd part. He meant nothing by his comment of hating to them, he just votes and support people and business that believe like he does. Hoss is a good guy and he will explain in his own words what he means. I also dont believe everything the LDS says but they are a non profit cannery and I support people being prepared its sad that more churches dont try to educate their memebers and help people prepare for hard times. Over the last 13 years it has gone through MANY updates. You are reading Public Version 5.xx The very latest edition is 7.xx but that is written for internal church consumption only. This book was NOT put together by the LDS Church. This was however, put together by a LDS Church member. You will not be able to buy this at any LDS Church. This is from what I understand.

Great info to have, I DL'd the file tonight. Although I am not religious I have no problem with those that are. Just as I wish to have my right or choice to not believe it is absolutely your right (or others' right) to believe. I am also going to purchase a few of these, one for myself and several to give out because religion or not, this is simply great advice and I want to share that with others.
I just noticed that the version online was V5.03, January 1st, 2011. Looks like it is the most update to date verrsion. Not to sound like a broken record, but this document is full of valuable info. The preparedness list is a GREAT tool. I am new to prepping, I have been doing it for a little over a year. This is a facinating resource. Love the section on gold and silver.
The ink is on the paper. Thanks for the GREAT info. I'm a firm believer of the ink to paper idea... have tons of it myself, but this one is the best so far.

I'm an atheist and former member of the LDS church and while I don't agree with their religious motivations for prepping I am willing to admit that Mormons take this sort of thing very seriously and tend to know what they're doing when it comes to disaster prepardness, so I will get this book. Howdy from SC. I just went to the web site to down load the manual. Took about 10 seconds. Saved it as a pdf in my iBooks library. Now I have it on my iPad/ iPod touch. Thanks for the info. I've been doing a little prepping but mostly on the energy side. Made my own solar panels and wind turbines. I'm working on a wood gasifier. You can get plans for a wood gassifier on the fema web site. It's easy to build.I even made a couple of alcohol stoves and wood gas stoves. I recomend the wood gas stove

Hey Southernprepper1, love your videos. Have you checked out the "hesperian foundation" site, they have two free downloads- "where there is no doctor" and "where there is no dentist" they contain a lot of great info. I printed them up two pages per side on both sides of a sheet to save on size (love my Kodak printer) and I think I'm going to vacuum seal them along with all my important prepper books to protect until needed. Keep up the superb work.

Hi , I am an old guy ,but new to prepping . Recently I have felt the need to really get serious about the food aspect. As a strong Christian I allways feel uncomfortable when my family think I am devoting too much time to preparing. I have even been told that I should not worry so much because God will provide for us. I think God will give me the esources and is calling me to get ready. Do you feel that our faith is weak if we do not trust God to provide our needs ?

I read the manual and it is awesome lots of good information. I did not appreciate the segment about how all the looting will be done by Blacks and mocking the way Blacks speak. When SHTF people from ALL races will be looting all walks of life. Also there are Hispanics, Whites, and Asians living the inner cities today. In the words of DEMCAD"its hard being a black prepper "cause when the SHTF we are looked at as the threat... not true :(

This book is AMAZING. I am not a Mormon, and even though I disagree with their religion, these guys definitely seem to have their heads screwed on straight! This book shows the authors are more "on" than the mass majority of people, and I am indebted to the great advice and the usefulness of this extensively compiled resource.

I've been AWAKE for several years, but I'm amazed at how many people are waking up every day. I got my LDS prepper manual in the mail today. Its awesome! A little disconcerning though when it shows you actually how much food by bulk and weight, one years food is for one adult. And thats just "keeping fed, but left hungery." What an eye opener...

@Jesses001 WOW, I am LDS and I have never hated anyone, including Atheist's. In fact, I know several Atheists and they are great people. I am not sure where you are getting that idea and if someone of our faith treated you badly, I am really sorry for that. However, please remember that people have their agency and everyone one of as human beings..... all need to work on the golden rule.

@Jesses001 The LDS people generally are kind and giving. You might want to check out their dry pack cannery where they will help you get your main storage staples together in sealed #10 cans. Of course, you will have to spend a few hours helping to can the food. It's quite an experience and no one will push their beliefs on you there. They will sell it to you at cost. They make no profit. The LDS church is usually the first on scene with food,clothing, etc. in disasters worldwide.

I have this manual, and love it as well. I can say that it is not published by the LDS church. It was written by a member of the church and he distributes it himself. He is more concerned about getting the word out than making money off of it.

Just ordered a copy (paper bound, double sided printing so not as thick). 14.02 incld ship/ins (7-14days). I didn't want to go through the hassle of printing out all 222 pages and either hole punching them to put in a folder (+$) or buying plastic sleeves (+$) . At 5 cent printing, the cost would have been 11.10, add the cost of a folder, and possibly sleeves, not to mention the time (time=$) you would spend putting them into the folder, 14.02 was a bargain IMHO.

Hossusmc made a statement and he needs to clarify it further so he will do a video on this matter. I spoke to him just a second ago and found out what he means by his statement. He believes something different and doesnt want to support the LDS church because he feels they teach things that go against what he believes. Over the last 13 years it has gone through MANY updates. You are reading Public Version 5.xx The very latest edition is 7.xx but that is written for internal church consumption only. Great info to have, I DL'd the file tonight. Although I am not religious I have no problem with those that are. Just as I wish to have my right or choice to not believe it is absolutely your right (or others' right) to believe. I just noticed that the version online was V5.03, January 1st, 2011. Looks like it is the most update to date verrsion. Not to sound like a broken record, but this document is full of valuable info. The preparedness list is a GREAT tool. I am new to prepping, I have been doing it for a little over a year. This is a facinating resource. Love the section on gold and silver.

Thanks for this one, David. I have a cannery very near my location and I am going to take much advantage of what they offer very soon. It sure is good to have such preparedness minded individuals.
