I always try to be this guy on this map i do ok most the time but i cant talk to my team so they dont know how orr what im dping they all rush up and i stay back fill holes and trying to prevent a breach but im the only one trying and the other team gets past everyone in my team so i have to cover all that up and cant cuz im the only one and then the other team gets past me and take over the bases (i play cq alot) and thats how my team lost alot of cq matches

i love russian kobra sight, best sight in the game, you cant see bullet drop with holo, you can with the kobra, i use the kobra on usas, some snipers, smg's. amazing cant go wrong.

definitely have earned my sub. if only i ever had team mates like you that have any sort of situational awareness or common sense. though i do enjoy flanking the hell out of the people grouped together with their tunnel vision goggles on. this should be required watching for every noob.

@paulogomesgmail Of course, it's easier for the enemy to aim at you on PC, too, so taking cover quickly is that much more important.

@paulogomesgmail Not really - youll notice higher kill streaks on the ps3/xbox because there is snap aiming and sticky targets enabled.. You can zoom in on a building and automatically be stuck to someones head - it isnt like that with the PC.. you can be 5 pixels off and it will be a clear miss.

He has right about a lot of things and the tips will get u higher KD. However if u do not have most of the flags u will bleed, if u bleed u can not camp behind a wall and watch your teammates die just to be able locate the enemy and get a kill for a guy that your friend has soften up a bit with bullets. people that sits on his a*** and waite for the enemy instead of helping friends catching flags annoys me. This is a teamgame.

and the thing I also noticed is that some people start shooting in the exact same moment I am leaning from the corner no matter what I do, delay prone, they always hit me in the exact same moment. Usually it should take a second or half of it for them to tke aim or so but they hit me in the EXACT SAME MOMENT I GO OUT. As I said its about SOME people.

@Anarchizer most good players usually "camp" a corner or hot spot waiting to get a kill or two before i move up.. NEVER PRONE CRAWL OUT... too slow of a motion and your elbow sticks out way before your head does :P

nice vid. i wonder if there is a reason you play with kobra? i could understand it for ugly ironsights (like from the famas), but with the m16 you got the problem, that you still see a part of the ironsight. what do u think about the holo, i like its slight zoom for the m16. more vids pls!

Lane Discipline, much more different than camping or lurking. You pick your lanes and watch them to either support a push or to prevent flanks. The discipline comes from not following where you team is looking, even if most of the enemy is there because there is always a chance someone will solo-sneak a spawn bomb.

I'm a big advocate of lane discipline, do it a lot in BF3 and paintball!

@rivaLxfactor I find it hard to belive to have above 6 - 7 hundred SPM. Just because people ARE taking chances in this game so you have to eventually die. However DICE produced a game that some hardware configs arent suited for. So that may also be the reason for people playing so poorly out there.

Play mostly conquest 32. The favorites include Seine crossing, Bazaar, metro and damavand peak

@bjayel Yes, he's an awful medic...You mean the fact that he doesn't just run out and defib somebody when he knows the guy just dropped dead, and there is a potential spawn bomb crisis? The priority is keeping control, then rezzing. You must be either one of those guys who doesn't clear a room when you know a teammate just got shot, and dives and rezzes, getting you both killed, or you keep rezzing from a corner letting the guy keep dying over and over again for your points. Which is it?

@EvolutionBeyond and here is the winner!!! you never rez first.... ever unless you know the area is clear. Only way to know that is to peek and chance it or have the dead guy on voice comms tell you it is clear...

I'm not a pubstar points whore. If it makes sense to rez and the guy has a 80 percent chance of coming back I'll do it... Anything less is putting me at a huge risk

@rivaLxfactor Exactly. I really appreciate these videos. I'm a .80 k/d guy, used to play quake, quake 2 a lot, loved those twitch shooters. As I got older, I loved a more tactical game. I really enjoy BF3, and while I loved BF 1942 and BF2, it's still a new experience with the younger and skilled. Your videos are really teaching me to take a moment and check everything. While I don't play professionally like you, it is a lot more fun not dying. :-) On avg. now I'm a 1.7-2 K/D . Thank you!

Playing in public matches is different than playing against organized, communicating and professionel teams. Epsecially on 4v4 SR, you need to be coordinated. Good competitive teams will most of the time destroy you if you just run and gun on your own or with few.

Hey Rival would you share some thoughts about FOV? And I do mean desired horizontal fov. Should I go for 90? That's 65 on my 1680x1050. I now use 74 wich is 100 horizontal fov. What do you use and why?

@MrDoefke comes down to what you feel is right.... I'm around 95 degrees FOV... Every time you increase your FOV your screen gets a little smaller... I'm more focused on what is in front of me instead of what is side raging me. When we run 8v8 we have lanes and coverages. When a teammate dies to my right I then shift where I am looking at...

@avosdewael The only time I use prone is to usually dodge incoming fire that i have no clue where it is coming from. Crouch is good for cover as well. Sitting still in this game or staying prone usually means death in this game.

What was surprising to me was how little you use the crouch or prone positions. When you peek around a corner you do it standing, perhaps twitching left to right a bit. Interesting, I will try that.

@teamthreepro I play mostly assault in matches and after the patch the f2000 was garbage at medium range or beyond. This forced me to mess around with the guns in the class. I settled on the m16a3 seeing how it has a highly controllable recoil. Please see my first video... I average anywhere from 35 to 45 percent head shot kills now according to bf3stats. Guns in this game are highly situational. The m16a3 is not. It works for any situation.

Wow, I do all of this, either procedurally like you, or instinctively. The problem is, and you are attempting to address this, is that I am only one person who operates this way on any team. However, I do rely on friendly corpses as indicators of enemy positions, their line of fire, and I also rely on friendlies to leroy jenkins their way through horrible kill box positions so I can mop up afterwards. I just require three more people like me and I'm good.
