Honestly I think this is a very well made prediction. Of course there's quite a bit of over-acting (besides the girls, the guy with the glass computer looks like he's about to commit murder), but over-all, interesting.

The effect with the eye? I'm assuming its like nano circuits in contacts or something. Future contacts have the potential to be as cool as claytronics.

this video is stupid... programmable matter is amazing, the idea of it and what they've done with it already, but no, you're not gonna have a suitcase that turns into a chair, unless your suitcase is filled with jelly.

...um.. Thats the whole point. its inferring the girls are more interesting than the morphing suitcase which is apparently common in this future scenario. If you were filming on a subway today would you film your friends, or freak out at the 'star trek communicators' everyone is using (ie cellphones).

I should add that I know they were trying to make it look like a casual random thing, but they kind of overdid the girls a fair bit.

A more tourist-like (BTW: visiting the city and seeing the sights, not referring to the tech) video would have worked better I think. Similarly incidental captures of tech, without the superficial 'randomness' of the girls.

It might be fake now, but this is what the end product is soppose to be like. Remember it is described as real time morphing meaning it'll happen really similar to this. I just hope the carry through with the cellphone to labtop conversion I've heard them talk about. That would be a truely amazing step forward.

They are currently working on programmable matter, I think I've seen a real demo doing some simple stuff, I'm not sure, it might have been a CG demo too.
