I'm not for or against smoking pot and am just here to know the truth. I'm curious why no one addresses the reasons why most governments of the world would want to go to such lengths to demonise this plant anyway. What are they so afraid of?
marijuana is very dangerous to people with mental illnesses, along with most other drugs, I'd like to see this mentioned more. there are too many sad stories of bright young people abusing drugs and losing their minds due to illness and drug abuse, I'd like for there to be less. marijuana is not for everybody.

Marijuana is bad if you have a social/ mental disorder, which in context could lead to psychosis. But an average everyday person will not experience any negative effects besides the munchies if your on a diet. How many fucking times does it have to be said? Cigarettes and Alcohol are the gateway drugs. The only reason they arent considered gateway drugs is because they are LEGAL and socially acceptable.
A LOT of people think that marijuana is harmless, but I have seen it have a lot of bad psychological effects on people that smoke it every day. Ive also seen a lot of aimless, lazy people that do nothing but smoke pot and live off other people. I used to smoke the stuff every day and it definately clogs your head up, fucks up your motor skills, fucks up your judgement, and can lead to chronic bronchitis and pneumonia if smoked and can also make other health problems worse.

Marijuana is bad if you have a social/ mental disorder, which in context could lead to psychosis. But an average everyday person will not experience any negative effects besides the munchies if your on a diet. Just because someone smokes marijuana doesn't mean they are trying to escape or they can't be happy any other way, it just means they want to enhance the day just like surfing would do for some or music or painting.

A LOT of people think that marijuana is harmless, but I have seen it have a lot of bad psychological effects on people that smoke it every day. Ive also seen a lot of aimless, lazy people that do nothing but smoke pot and live off other people. I used to smoke the stuff every day and it definately clogs your head up, fucks up your motor skills, fucks up your judgement, and can lead to chronic bronchitis and pneumonia if smoked and can also make other health problems worse.

People who get hooked on crack, meth, or heroine do so because they have scummy drug dealer, who they wouldn't have to deal with in the first place if MJ was legal.
Most people who do illegal drugs in America use ONLY MJ, and nothing else. You can smoke for 20 years and have ZERO desire to use anything else, and most do

I know for a fact I have an addictive personality, and wanted to experience great highs. My sophomore year of high school, I started doing coke. But I only did it with my girlfriend, who lived far away, so I couldn't get any at home. I felt horrible without it. My friends noticed this and offered me weed. I smoked, and haven't done coke since. I still have the addictive personality, but weed has made me more aware of it. I'm never going to try harder drugs.

No it won't kill you and yes some people are fine with it.
There are side effects though based on the strength and your disposition.
You won't die but you could have bad turn.
I will smoke it again in my lifetime but I wouldn't encourage anyone to believe that it is completely without risk

@SeaWolfe59 You need to realize that carcinogens cause cancer. Marijuana does not contain carcinogens so therefore, it does not cause cancer. A study in 2005 proved that Marijuana doesn't cause lung cancer which you just saw. You're buying into thinking anything you smoke causes cancer which isn't the case. No, anything that contains carcinogens causes cancer. Smoke itself is harmful to the lungs yes, but there's nothing toxic or carcinogenic in Marijuana smoke.

But there is plenty of proof that the combustion of the plant material from cannibas contains many carcinogens (up to 118).
