Great Review! However I noticed around the 6:09 mark you commented on the wahs in the Gearbox software that they are not "Physical" wahs. I did a little research and found that if you got the Line 6 FBV Express MK11, FBV Shortboard or the Shortboard MK11, you can use those to control the wahs via USB and do a couple of MIDI settings on the Gearbox software you're displaying in this video.
what's the difference between ux1/ux2, I'm wondering if there is a difference on the sound or it is just the ux2 has more inputs than ux1 ? plz reply
Im not gonna bitch or nothing for not knowing Another brick in the Wall, but i suggest listening to Pink Floyd if you wanna get some musical influence. But great video, i am thinking of buying this interphase.
@ASSLICKERADAS run a cable from the line out on the back of the ux2, make sure its the line out and not the headphones out, to the input of ur amp if u have a solid state, and make sure ur on a clean setting on the amp, if u have a tube amp just put it intro the power amp in or the fx return.
@ASSLICKERADAS o hey i just looked at it and idk if this confused u or not, i accidentally said "line output" on the back of it, but i think its actually labeled "analog out" on the back
@guitarsbunch347 no problem, I got what you meant. I was confused because the cable I was using was broken, so I couldn't get any sound. the reason we can think...
ok, i dont know a lot of this but can you connect in this form: guitar-interfaz-pc-analog out to an amplifier? i want to buy a new one!! sorry for my english!!!
So its a usb audio interface. How to use it properly if i wanted to do a recording with a guitar? Do i plug it in into a laptop line in or plug it to the usb??
can i use my boss metalzone pedal with this. what i mean is aparently the distortion for heavy metal sucks so is there a way to use my metalzone stompbos.
Hey man, great video, but I did have a couple questions. First, if I don't want to run my guitar from my amp to my Pod studio UX2, can I just plug my guitar directly to the pod?
Also, does the software support heavy metal players very well?
i dont think this really has a good live application mostly because you mentioned the footswitch problems which in turn you cant change the presets mid-song if youre playing a gig. and if you could more change mid-song, than likely there is a time latency a second or longer for the next preset to load.
do u know if u can use an electronic drum set through it? and when ur jamming along to songs on ur pc does the sound of the mp3 and the guitar through the same set of pc speakers mesh together well?
it depends on the drum set's output, im sure there is a way, and yea, u can make it mesh as much as u want, you can control the volumes of the mp3 and drumset
@2amongthefence so this is the tone port right? not the new POD Studio UX2? either one, I think it's great..I'm planning to get one of these..nice review!
@2amongthefence wait seriously? that's lame, you can't record vocals and guitar at the same time or something? noooo! oh well I guess I can live without that...
need help on recording. i have lay down 5 track the first track i record is cool than i try to record on track 5 it will go to track 2 if i record on track 2 it will go to track 5 why won't it let me recordon the track i want? do i have to set a setting ? thanks
@ RookieatDbar. The UX2 uses a USB connection to your computer, so unless there are external USB ports on your keyboard (found on more expensive keyboards, and some Dell ones), it would just plug into the front of your computer (usually).
nice review...but i want to buy this to record music with my buddies/band...i play bass and i want to no if this thing is for recording songs but not in the greatest quality. do u understand me?...like i want a recording system that can record mic vocals, screaming vocals, guitar, ect just to make music and edit them and such...
its not pro if thats what you are aking, but it gets the job done. i like it for what it does. only you can only record 2 guitars, 2 mics, or a mic and a guitar at once. thats its only draw back

why didnt you run it through the computer? that way we could really hear every aspect of the tone
i'm using a line 6 for all my vids, check it if you wonder if it can do good metal tones.

Actually, I meant synthesizer keyboard and not computer keyboard
rookieatDbar 2 years ago
I think he means a piano-keyboard =)
RAGmusic1 2 years ago
I imagine it would be the same as connecting a guitar to the pedal,
Turn off any effects on the guitar bit (Unless you like it on the keyboard) and simply plug the keyboard in (The same place where the guitar goes).
Then plug the UX2 into the computer.
