Oh I love me some Sissel! She's such a wonderful singer! This melody supposed to be a hunting melody and she has just the voice to pull it off. Man this is awesome. I heart Celtic music!
There are several versions every one has its own specialty ... more driven or more "goose bumping":-) ! Gaelic is a truely interesting language - unfortunately it is not to be spoken/ taught in Germany ... would be really fun to learn!!

Sissel never fails to take my breath away. Her voice is a gift to all of us. I only hope she finds as much joy in sharing her voice with us as we find in listening.

Îmi place muzica celtică dar îmi place și gramatica limbii romane... spune și tu dacă nu e păcat să o pocești.
Mulțumesc pentru apreciere! :)
PS Să nu te superi, da? ;)

The first picture, the boy standing over the girl...is called Daybreak. Its a mural painting by Maxfield Parrish. :D

This is an utterly breathtaking song anyway. Although it doesn't sound bad, I miss the archaic language the other version use...

Aint Sissel from Norway? Does she speak Gaelic, learned it? Or is she just singing it without actually speaking it?
