@Cherfan1998 It's not uncommon for Ferrari to de-livery their older F1 cars after so many years. Either that has happened in this case, or this particular car is liveried in the non-tobacco spec which was run a many events in 2004.
@Bunchies the track, though legendary, is a bit too short for a modern grand prix circuit. safety is also probably not ideal, there isnt very much runoff at the top of corkscrew.
@MrStig691 your wrong, this car is faster than any f2 today, simply because this has on the same slicks, actually these are even bigger giving more grip and this is a v10 with close to 1000hp, so this will smoke any f1 today.
The previous record time was 1'07.722, set by Helio Castroneves in a Penske Champ Car during qualifying for the 2000 CART Honda Grand Prix of Monterey. The unofficial record was re-taken by a Champ Car on March 10, 2007 by Sébastien Bourdais, who lapped in 1'05.880 during Champ Car Spring Training.
Officially, Castroneves is still the recordholder as Zonta's and Bourdais' times were set during exhibition and testing sessions, and official records can only be set in race conditions.
@beandip2112 Irrelevant as Zonta's was a coasting lap, like Heidfeld's at the Nurburgring. F1 cars would be 5-6 faster than Champ cars or Indy cars round this track on a flying lap.
Really nice! And really brave to keep his foot down at the end of the main straight every lap...
Rally drivers like him seem to be good with F1 cars... (see also Seb Loeb on RBR at Silverstone a few years ago)

@SuperJuLiOz Wat. Its a Ferrari F1 car. Thats what they named it, F2004.
Slappy240 6 months ago
@Slappy240 Yes, I know!!! I´m saying that this F1 car (model F2004) is faster than 2011 F1 cars....
SuperJuLiOz 6 months ago
@SuperJuLiOz No, it's not faster. The current Red Bull could be this round the track. Like with Monaco and Melbourne.
