Yes, my dad is from Jamaica. Only one of my great grandparents was born in Jamaica though, with the others coming from Ghana (after slavery) India and Europe. The Jamaican one was a white Jamaican of French/British descent. It might sound stupid but I can't even pronounce the name of my African great grandmother.
