  • MINT SONG!

  • Actually it wasn't the Farmer's Daughter it was the Farmer's Daughter-in-Law, he was in fact more of a rancher than a farmer, and actually Lenny never said that exact line. If we are being pedantic that is.

  • Is this Talking Heads ? A complete rip off

  • @TheAlistairDick i really thought when i first heard these guys that it was a talking heads song .. just saying

  • lol you wrote in the video uploaded by housefreak 1908 but your name is housefreak 9108 :)

  • Like if your listening to this in 2011!!

  • waitress on a rollerskates

  • Would agree with the experiences of hers. I heard this song on the radio and just went , jees, Talking Heads really knew how to knock out a song. Great tune, but one of many Bell X1 beauties. Whither Damien Rice.

  • Amazing song :-)

  • any1notice that the uploader is 'housefreak9108' but on the video it says 'housefreak1908'.... anyway, love the band, love the song :)

  • same here, thought i was hearing a Talking heads b-side, the similarities in voice and staccato style are striking

  • @cheaptrick091 I don't doubt it. There's also a reference to the farmer's daughter who seduces Lenny in the novel.

  • @cheaptrick091 yes

  • AWESOME SONG! NYC

  • AWESOME SONG! NYC

  • For some reason when he says; "Oh won't you tell us about those rabbits George" it reminds me of Chicken George from "Roots". Quality tune so it is.

  • Yeah,,BellX1 are influenced by Talking Heads. Could be influenced by worse...no?

  • When I heard this on the radio for the first time. I thought it was David Byrne. I had to look at the radio playlist to see who it was.

  • i just found out these guys are irish

  • ein richtig geiler "gute laune" song, :-) !

  • kinda lame, but i like it!

  • This is soo unique....and to compare i would have to say paul simon is very influentual in this track.........

  • how about David Byrnes its obvious. even the way he performs the song is like David Byrnes dance in Once in a Lifetime

  • why do people feel a need to compare. these guys are from ireland and are out 25 years later.. they are a great band and this song is very unique. I duno why people cant enjoy the music instead of enjoying their opinions

  • shut up

  • It's just the influence is strong man, people will always compare bands, always. Oasis-Beatles ! Audioslave-Led Zepplin, TOOL-King Crimson. Just happens.

  • if you cant see the david byrne influece, you should go fuck yourself! p to the s, fuck yo couch too!
