@MissCityChic ~~I thought the same thing since I have dark hair, however, if you go to Sally's, you can purchase a low or highlight clip in, that is a shade or two off from your hair color. The trick is adding it in a way that the clip part doesn't show. I get compliments all of the time. Also, if you are feeling crazy, you can buy a fun color and make your braid stand out. Looks cute when you make your braid as a headband and the clip in matches your outfit.

I think it would like better on hi lighted hair. When my hair was long and I had it hi lighted I would french braid it and it looked like I had a ribbon running down it. Which I think looked pretty cool.
