you are a genius Dror!!! you have inspired me to build my own kit and I"M on it. The only thing I haven't figure out yet is the hi hat pedal switch. I have the pedal but don't know if I should use a piezo and if so, what's the best way?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm considering building one for when I go to college. I'm just not sure if I'll be able to get a functioning hat. That would be a deal breaker for me.

Dror, what type/thickness of rubber sheet are you using on your pads? I'm using mouse pad rubber foam but I find it deteriorates too quick.
