Ewww, hedelmä candies are disgusting. I'm from Finland I hate them, they don't taste natural. I love salmiakki eventhough it's apparently bad for your health because of the ammonium chloride. Btw, Finland is not Scandinavia! (Norway, Sweden and Denmark are)

Nice video ;) It's good that you just didn't eat the 'salty licorice' (salmiakki), because everyone is just eating it and saying 'OH MY GOD FINNISH ARE SO STUPID, ONLY SALTY GOODIES' and then they get so wrong first impression.

(PS. The two dots in A (Ä) is spelled the same way you spell the A in the word And, and the A is spelled here like you say in the Car word, so that's how they're different from each other.)

The distinctive taste of 'salmiakki' (salmiac) comes in fact from ammonium chloride (NH4Cl). It's weird that people outside Scandinavia don't have that kind of candy. What a loss, cause it's really good! : )

If you really like salmiakki you should try dutch ones. They are allowed to make it with higher concentration of ammonium chloride which makes the taste a bit different from finnish salmiakki.
