@Endless01235 heard by my friend with tai friends they fly gripen much much harder than in sweden. They the tais realy enjoy the most of it. Not like the swedes . they have to explain and get every turn being said yes by the athorotihies. Here in sweden you cant do nothing without the riht of athoroties. In gripen there is a black box, or instead a roll with a data that will get you kicked out if you dont fly the plane like a lame dog. or at least not able to kick someones ass.

Beautiful jet! I wish more countries could consider this as an alternative to the now boring F-16s. And don't come to me saying that it is combat proven etc etc because it became so only because it was given a chance. Gripen hasn't had a chance to go on a war yet.

So it is as good as and maybe even superior to any F-16 out there.

@Rapeattack Hah, the JAS-39 Gripen fucked the shit out of F-16 and the pentagon said that if they need a chance vs Gripen they need F-22 to even have a chance, JAS(JAKT, ATTACK, SPANING) which means: chase, attack, scout. If you understand, it can do everything in only 1 plane, but the US-army need several planes to be able to do more than one thing, that makes JAS-39 Gripen much much better plane in more asspects. Swedish enginering f-t-w(our subs fuck ur biiiiig biiiig boats with planes on it)

Is this played back in slow motion? Zoom out for fuck sake! Speed is relative you know! In this case, the speed of the jet is relative to the surrounding clouds and buildings. I want to see the speed of the thing, not what it looks like. Bad cameraman!

I don't think Gripen can supercruise, but the new one Gripen-NG demonstrator can supercruise at Mach 1.1

Officially: The payload is about 5 tones (+) but this depends on the models. Sorry about the lack of details, I have been out of the loop for a long time. The cool thing, I think, is that this plane was made by a population of~ 9 M people (about the size if New York City) and designed to be able to use normal motorways as "air ports"

I just wanted to add that this video shows a Gripen with no under wing pylons. That is quite rare. Gripens are pretty much always fitted with weapons pylons. This aircrafts serial number is 39.166.

They are called smokwinders, and are just for display purposes. They make it easier to see the aircrafts maneuvers. Personally, I prefer displays without smokewinders. It makes for photos.:)
