You have to stop for a moment now; release all the things that are in your head. For first, you have to find the basic cause, the *origin* of pain and suffering in your life. If you find it, that will lead you to the solution of the problems.

They are about a life full of misery and deep sorrow, partly because the protagonist of the song is away from his beloved/his love is a platonic one. The full atmosphere is clad into the barrenness of a winter landscape.

"Silent advent of white death" - advent means awaiting, waiting for something (just like the 4 weeks before Christmas is called Advent, and that time people are waiting Christmas.)
Anyway, here it means a cold, helpless, motionless state in which somebody is staring into his/her hopeless future, and doing nothing but just waiting for life to end.
Also, "white death" may refer to the illusion of innocence, because he doesn't even have the strength to end his life by his own hand. And "white", because that tragic end would redeem him from his misery, once and for all.
(in addition, "white death" and "I feel so cold" evoke in me a lifeless winter landscape, with virgin snow and a dead forest. and that is just beautiful, just like the background in the video :)

For example, dark music - just like this - helps me from time to time to deal with hardships in life, and after that - I don't want to repeat what I or others said, ace296692's latest comment explains it almost perfectly.
One thing to mind is that we all come with differences, and a view that makes perfect sense for one, doesn't mean it fits all. So I don't agree with your view, but I understand and respect it.

And we, humans all know that the day will come when we will rot under the growing trees but not many of us humans are conscious about being alone when they day. I don't understand why people would listen to this song if they're not wanting to feel connected. If your trying to get them to be a happy cheerful bunch, then your effectively making them like the song less.
For those that are lost: Embrace your surroundings, accept what has happened. Don't fight it and you will eventually rise above the situation.

Since I can't live another's life, I can just bring my own as an example. When I made this video, I had the same hopeless sorrowful feelings. But guess what. Right now, where I stand, I see all the sense in life, live it with joy, and I see the big picture, reasons for everything what happened...

Because in those years, my personality was formed such way that I now wouldn't be the same without. Like sensitivity, durability, empathy. The bad I experienced helped me in becoming better. And, if such a pessimist, hopeless, lonely person like me was able to become the absolute opposite of it, then anyone else can do it, like you too.

@killer2ns Stay alive for the reason that life is more than one can see at a certain dark moment. Pain and problems seem big & unsolvable because one doesn't know how to deal with it. But there is a solution for EVERYTHING, believe me.
You have to stop for a moment now; release all the things that are in your head. For first, you have to find the basic cause, the *origin* of pain and suffering in your life. If you find it, that will lead you to the solution of the problems.

@Immortalicast "Leap of faith" means that you have to believe you can solve the problem, in order to be able to solve it. One will never be able to fix the suffering, if he doesn't *want* to fix it.
"Unknown" was a metaphor for another type of life, one without pain. Of course it's "unknown" for the reason one is stuck in a dismal state, and that type of life seems to be so far at that moment.

@user336 In my opinion, the lyrics are one of the most meaningful parts of the song. They are about a life full of misery and deep sorrow, partly because the protagonist of the song is away from his beloved/his love is a platonic one. The full atmosphere is clad into the barrenness of a winter landscape.
If you're trying to point out that I uploaded it because I feel the same; I used to, a long time ago, but I'm far away from that now.

@markMills00 Check out the other 'band' of Niclas, called 'Ningizzia' :) He and a French man create the music in it, and it's the closest to FoS I can mention. Absolutely beautiful.

What do you mean by not understanding what's he saying? :) He's singing the same lines as the lyrics on screen, sometimes in clean vocals, other times in growls. I think his growling is not that incoprehensive. :)

"Silent advent of white death" - advent means awaiting, waiting for something (just like the 4 weeks before Christmas is called Advent, and that time people are waiting Christmas.)
Anyway, here it means a cold, helpless, motionless state in which somebody is staring into his/her hopeless future, and doing nothing but just waiting for life to end.

Also, "white death" may refer to the illusion of innocence, because he doesn't even have the strength to end his life by his own hand. And "white", because that tragic end would redeem him from his misery, once and for all.
(in addition, "white death" and "I feel so cold" evoke in me a lifeless winter landscape, with virgin snow and a dead forest. and that is just beautiful, just like the background in the video :)
