  • Good anime, I don't konw if its the insurge of popular "teen" anime but I havn't seen much anime with mature themes sence Gasaraki. I've been watching Elfen Leid but It's extreme graphic nature is to much at times.

  • Wow I might actually start watching this

  • This opening is scary... :)

  • @OhayoFurankii Stick with it! It all begins to make sense after Episode 5

  • @OhayoFurankii Hell yes! Be prepared for a mind-job though.

  • Remember I saw the trailer for this on the "Spriggan" dvd, and the only reason why I took interest in this anime was because of the song that was playing. Besides that I thought this was a good anime series. Took sometime for it to really into the story, but by the end it left me happy and glad I picked this one up.

  • Would this series be worth the purchase? I can pick it up for about 25 euro, the whole set. Y/N? Or would my money be better spent on another series?

  • complex..anime....i like the music...the anime..well..i like mecha series but this..warfare mistic stuff... i was unable to digest it.

  • 1:14

    WTF!!!- Wah?! Youre allright?!?!?!

  • I like how the opening and ending look like they're from two entirely different animes.

  • man its been awhile since i've watched this

  • i got the whole collection but dont know what its about :O can someone tell me

  • I could also agree that Blue gender has one very good point, it is the development of the protagonist Yuji, he actually overcomes the "Evangelion dilemma" by becoming stronger to figth back the evil, and that I felt the ending was better done than Gasaraki. Now on topic lol Gasaraki opening theme really was something I liked listening to every time I started an episode. Also the ending theme, it is beutiful too.

  • yea but i like the opening better espicailly graphic/s

  • Does this make anyone else think of Battletech? Mechs that look like tanks rather than toys, soldiers, vehicles, no flying around like insects lol

  • I love seeing mechs, I also love when they walk and run using legs, not just rolling around on wheels (like in Blue gender) or flying around all day long. I just have something against mechs that deny the purpose of legs, but this one didnt let me down. Well the ending could have been made less strange but Im glad it didnt went like the Evangelion's "Human instrumentality" ending lol. (I still like Evangelion though)

  • Blue Gender is pure genius. More for the story than the mecha, but i know what you mean about mecha movement.

Gasaraki is actually a very good anime. Extremely slow, but that helps with its addicting factor too.

When I get enough cash, I'm gonna buy it, because some buddies of mine, want a real mature realistic anime and this one doesn't get any closer to that quota...

The OP is so haunting too.

  • @FritoyezSchumann Yeah I was utterly confused how in Blue Gender the mechs had legs but used their wheels 90% of the time. I can see the wheels being needed sometimes but it seemed that was their primary locomotion.

Then again, I suppose the legs could act as a very sophisticated suspension system for fighting well the Blue, which were organic, so something like a tank or jeep wouldn't be responsive enough.

  • DAmn the song opening is the shizzzzzzzzz! So intense! xD

  • Oh yoko kanno....

  • No way, did Yoko Kanno really do the Gasaraki soundtrack?!

  • No. That is Tomoko Tane you hear on the opening track "Message 9" and the closing, "Love Song". She also did the closing to Trinity Blood, "Broken Wings".

  • Yoko kanno composed both the opening and ending for Tomoko Tane. Sadly my sources are scant.

  • the best opening anime!!!

  • Gasarki- this was an awesome anime series.

  • lol i like the way she says Again at 49 ha

  • It sounds Australian....the way she says it.

  • i like the music ritm and how they sing it

    lovely some how.. nostalgic

  • ガサラキは最終話が非常に惜しい。

    日米関係が作中に描かれた状況になっても西田の遺言に帰結することはない。

    それと最後の最後で"SF"に逃げたのが残念。

Of course this is one of my favorite animes. And awesome songs too!

  • :) One of my fav songs too i have a ring tone. alone with OST (original sound track)

  • crap i think i may have deleted it lol oh well ill just have to get it agian XP.. soory for the bad posting i clicked on the replay but for some reason it showiing up as lastes comment.. my apologizes

  • actauly it sucks some how

pretty good intro song.. bad story

    good animation

  • I think this was my fav. next to eva, ergo, and FSN.

I actually think I liked this better than any anime I've seen.

Reason being...not many idiots would understand what goes on in this anime.

  • it's all about the politics, it reflects real world intentions w/ out hesitation.

That's one of the reasons I like this anime too.

  • the gowa big brother has to be the best reflection, along with phantom and his influence over the prez :D

  • It freaked me out how it basically predicted the events of the Second Gulf War. Weapon inspectors, WMDs, faulty inteleginece. Scary...

  • it takes a lot of thinking to understand this show.

  • I like gasaraki

  • Only had the first dvd and I didn't know what the hell was going on :/. It looked interesting though, I just never ended up watching the rest of the show. Also the intro is awesome.

  • LOL i was lost too. im not as fast as some other ppl but aft watching it a couple times the names and partiess groups or faction whatever u want to call them stared to make sence. i hope u give it a nother shot and realy trie to understand the story. happy watching to all and to all a good night :P

  • This was one of the most complex anime I ever watched. Gasaraki gave me a reason to show other ignorant folks that not all animations are meant for the mind of children. Some "smart" people would not be able to grasp the concepts in this artistic portrayal of technological advancement.

  • well you pretty much took the words out of my mouth so hehehe you're saying the truth

  • plus the robot action is kool :P

  • someon gimme a link to find it

  • link for what?

  • what u mean find it?

  • wish my hand could revolve twice hahaha 1:13

  • One thing I love about Gasaraki(and the main reason I was attracted to the series) is the way that bi-pedal weapons are represented. The machines(both from Gowa and Symbol) look like that they could be built with today's technology. The only problem with doing that is the production and maintenance cost.

  • you should read this years issue of gunji kenkyu(japanese military research)

  • I love that opening song. It sounds kind of like Bjork. ^^

  • it does?

  • argghh, it was so lovely watching this back in 2002 :)

  • what is the name of song op? plx

  • MESSAGE#9 Name OP song!

  • Cool!

    The opening and the ending...!

    {Saving to favorites...}

  • I usually like the opening to shows better than the closing. This is a rare case where the reverse is true, but the opening for Gasaraki is really awesome too.

  • dust to dust...Ashes to ashes

  • I love this theme. I picked up the two soundtracks for Gasaraki just to get "Message#9".

  • If you like the song, check out Orguss 02.

The opening theme is very similar. Might even be the same artist.

  • Thanks, Alucard.

I found both songs, "Love Song" and "Message #9" through LimeWire. They shouldn't be -that- difficult to find.

  • where can i get the song?

  • dude someone needs to upload the eps! ;)

  • I only have them in Japaneses but i will try to upload them

  • Great song

  • cuando escucho el opening me da la sensacion de que aparecera una mujer con un pato enrrrrrollado

  • i really love this song!!!! ^O^

  • ME ENCANTA ESTE LOCO

  • Love song is great.
