AS IVE ONLY JUST BECOME A NEWB TO THE INTERNET, I AM SO OVERWHELMED THAT I CAN WATCH CARL SAGENS LIFE WORKS AND TO WHAT I HAS MADE ME AWARE OF THE SPLENDER OF OUR UNIVERSE.SO I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPOTUNITY TO THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THE DELIGHTS OF YOUR UPLOADS. AND WHEN I BECOME VERSED IN THE UP/DOWNLOAD OPERATION; THEN I TOO WILL GLADLY UPLOAD SIMILAR CONTEXT. THANKS AGAIN.
Today (January, 12th, 2012), Voyager 1 is about 18.090.000.000 km (11.306.250.000miles) away from Earth....Its speed is about 17km/s (10,6Miles/s)...
It really nice and also kind of sad to know that this machine is never comming back home.....
Damn religious oppression of science... we could have visited all these worlds by now if it wasn't for 1,000 years of darkness and stagnation. In the year 3000 we will be where we should be now.
@Shiplodicus I dunno we will still have to contend with widespread ignorance and huge propaganda machines without religion as politicians will still be erm, how you say.. cunts!
I can't thank you enough for uploading these videos. Keep dreaming my friends! I feel like I miss this man even though I have never met nor heard about him until a few years ago.
@TomKNJ yeah tomknj....sagan is important, he really know how to entrench the listener into deeper thought, i hope someday newer generations will appretiate his small but MUCH NEEDED contribution to science and awareness

I've been interested in space all my life and every time I watch Carl Sagan he answers questions I have been pondering. Absolutely amazing.

Cosmos really makes the disputes over borders and resources seem downright petty. We must unite as a species! :D

Carl should be the president, not of the United States, not even of the earth, but of the Cosmos.

Wow what a honor! Carl Sagan devoted half an episode to my country (the Netherlands) and even visited the place. Thanks for uploading this!

@OhReallyNoWai Of course. Sagan was a man of the world, and he recognized the contributions of the Dutch to science.
