Are u sure about that? its low fat! high varb :)

  • dandelion

  • I'm eating raw but I still wonder what a golden eagle tastes like all roasted!!! Ha!!!

  • humans are so greedy we eat animals and their food too! What a rip!

  • @ObamaWasBornlnKenya I am on the 801010 , I like it, but dont forget the book is a product in itself =). The book has great information, and some misleading info, like all books.

  • FENCE SITTER

  • Really fruitarians are very very skinny (durian rider for example) .. Spending so much time on eating 30 bananas a day. The thing about raw foods is that you should choose what works best for you. But you need more than 10 percent of greens. I say more greens and little fruit.

  • is butter a carb?

  • @tranceaddictallnight butter is a fat, its better to eat than margarine. Margarine is synthetic.

  • @ushilives3 it was from a movie, but i guess it went over everyone's heads.

  • I like to eat purslane. Here in the Denver Metro Area it grows everywhere! My Mom grew up eating as a little girl but she knew it as calita or calitas. The name may be wrong but that is what my Mom and Aunt knew it as.

  • I Love wild Grapes..There is alot of it where I Live easy to find and Abundant

  • Good advice

  • Oh hello! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my father lost a ton of weight with it.

  • This guy's oversunniness is unwatchable. Disliked for lifestyle choices.

  • @djadvance22 boo hoo. lol

  • camomile! We love it.

  • two words kiddy fiddler

  • Stinging nettle! juiced.

  • Huckleberries and thimbleberries

  • 801010 BABY!

  • Thimble Berries/Saskatoon Berries

  • wild lettuce or lambs quarter

  • Don't be dogmatic, great advice ;)

  • fucken genius, man. people need to hear this.

Tho I agree that two weeks might be not long enough.

  • i really don't like this guy's sugar addict intro.

  • @jackdentreprenuer yeah i agree, i think this was the point when he was eating a lot of cacao (aka crack-cao).

  • @adamc404 loll@crack-cao Stimulants are not the solution , people!

  • Reasonable advice. Not all bodies are built the same so why should we all eat the same diets? Personally, however, I think higher fat diets are the way to go.

  • The little mouse at the end is too cute!

  • toooo much

  • YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!THAT is really great that you said...that. SO many people, including me, jsut want to be ethical, moral and "perfect" in eating and a healthy lifestyle. Nowadays you can be judged right away...from fast food junkies or by vergan raw foodist. life is not easy, but as oyu said, you gotta find out yourself=)!

  • i love all of your videos! I just stumbled upon them! You have a great positive attitude and I agreed with so many of your statements :) I live so close to White Plains and got so excited when you mentioned it :) I am a vegan (newbie) and have a blog as well. Ill be following your videos!!!

  • That rat was really sick, I hope you guys didn't touch him. Favorite wild food, ummmm, I really am a fan of find it, and eat it. I can never pass up wild violet blossoms, and the young greens are awesome as well.

  • Yay Kevin! Excellent advice. I was just having this same discussion with my husband last night. It is SO mind boggling with all of the adivce out there. What is the best way to eat?? Our bodies are smart enough to let us know what we should be doing. Everyone is different.

  • good advice about finding the diet that works for you!

  • i love tangelo

  • Figs! My parents have several big fig trees and I freeze a lot of them every season and snack on them through out the year. I will have me a dehydrator this next time, I won't let any of them go to waste.

  • love you Kevin!

  • gooesefoot! discovered it last year with the help of the Wildman. very dark, tender, abundant!

  • tickyul, i don't know y the comment was marked as spam, but I know exactly y you had all those horrible symptoms after just a couple weeks eating "raw food"--candida feeds on sugars, starches, grains, alcohols, vinegar/other acids, and fermented foods.!!! eating only raw food starves the candida & this results in high numbers of dead cells, which causes the symptoms of candida infection to be outrageous for a few days until the organisms(alive & dead) are completely flushed from the body

  • @TheVandvproductions I have read that Candida will thrive on a high carb diet, raw or not, due to the readily available glucose that feeds its growth.

  • Thanks for talking fast.

  • Eatting wild plants is also dangerous. Listen to the video and make your own decision.

  • Yep, this guy is right on. I have tried different diets, I do very poorly on lots of them. I also react poorly to certain foods. Tried the low fat-high carb diet....Yowch, felt like I was going to drop dead. I tried high protein, did not feel that great on that, low energy levels. I do best on high fat, moderate protein, low carb. Don't eat much dairy, seems to cause joint inflammation. I seem to have an allergy to nuts. Nuts also don't seem to digest very good, undigested nuts in my stools.

  • Continuing what I was saying..... I am actually 1 day older than MARK from BOYZONE who was born on May 28th 1980. Little interesting fact lol

  • @Scrabbler27 I was born on the same day, yet another year :)

  • Coinsidence you started the show saying todays date is Tuesday May 27th lol. I was actually born on Tuesday May 27th!. Born in 1980 though . Makes me 29!

  • Cactus and cactus fruit.

  • You look like the lead singer of Nickelback

  • rosemary. There are rosemary bushes everywhere where I live! I just step out of the house and pick some rosemary and toss it in my salads/soups. Love it!

  • Mmmm Blackberries Yummy

  • little tiny strawberries that grow along fence row in Missouri at the beginnig of May.

  • blackberries, purslane and nettle.

  • does anybody know any cheap raw food websites im new to the raw food scene and want to explore more options of eating?

  • Ive been a vegetarian for about 9 years. Lately Ive been feeling absolutely horrible, I feel like I did when I was an unhealthy omnivore... tired, moody as hell, brain dead and sick. I know I need to change my diet but i dont want to eat meat unless i have to. any veggies out there with the same problem?

  • You could try fava beans, which are a good source of protein, chalked full of vitamins and contain dopamine which might help with your mood.

  • I always like to keep track of my dietary intake. I have an online program that I signed up for when I took a nutrition course in college (cost 25 bucks, but I'm sure there are a lot of free ones online), it gives me a complete analysis of my diet. Very useful, and I always make sure I get enough of each of the vitamins/minerals. Sounds tedious but it doesn't take that long and you get used to it. I found that taking some superfoods help reach my goal more easily (for iron, calcium, b12, zinc)

  • 80 10 10 is Dangerous, read the articles up on the RHIO RAW site

  • In what way is that type of diet dangerous?

  • Read the Articles up on the site i gave its all explained in full detail there

  • I'm still going through the articles on the site you suggested but it is already looking bad. I'm up to "Raw/Live food concepts&info" under "Competitive Exclusion". So far its been very little pro health and more supplement endorsing con men with a few sneaky plugs for animal research which is a major bad sign of dishonesty as it is.

  • Nettle

  • plantain

  • I like eating lamb's quarters. It tastes kinda like spinach or wild greens. I bet you can throw it into a salad, but I've only had it sauteed, I'm not vegan but working on it :)

  • Wild strawberries.

  • Moderation in all things, Hi protein, Hi carb, hi fat diets are insane.

  • @Stonewalljackson7 Insane??? What if one of those "insane" diets works really well for someone. What if certain people do poorly on a moderate diet???

  • 20 kilometers from my home is a giant wild blueberry field approximatly more than a tonne of berrys every day. picking a kilo takes u about 1,5 hours

  • berries

  • Problem is Organic Berries are WAY too expensive !

ALL seedless fruit is no good and Un healthy such as Bananas, Pineapples and Kiwis

Bananas are grown to be Seedless, and that is Un natural and way too high in sugar as they are supposed to have SEEDS

  • Mmmmm. Dogmatic... Why does it matter if it has seeds? i don't eat apple seeds or peach pits.

  • i think bc if the fruit has no seeds it means its a hybridized fruit

  • ALL Fruits by their nature and design are supposed to contain their Seeds. If a Fruit does not contain seeds, its a sure sign it was massively Hybridized, Compromised and grown un naturally.

Seeds are a sign of Biogenic Viability and High Life force, of the Fruits Biological integrity.

Fruit without seeds is like a Human being without Arms and Legs. Sure the Fruit is technically still a living food , but its lost ALOT of lifeforce energy and Nutritional Content

  • I never said you're supposed to eat the Fruit seeds, in fact you're not, as obviously the Seeds are there for the purpose of propagating the Fruits species and spreading its Plants over the earth, its Natures design

You eat the apple, drop the apple core to the ground with its seeds and those seeds imbed themselves in the soil and in a New Apple Tree grows there to produce more Fruit !

its the design of Life, and Stripping the Fruit of its seeds by Hybridization is NOT good

  • rasberries

  • currently, i eat and burn more calories than anyone in the raw food movement. 811 is my recommendation. everything else just sends people back to animal products and or cooked food.

if you want to be a healthy raw fooder and stay true your animal friends then read 811 and join the banana cult.

  • @durianriders

    David Wolfe disagrees with you

  • blackberries and mint

  • Miners lettuce! its lovely, also dandelion greens--if i can get them before the dog does. You have a great philosophy on foods and I really needed to hear this message today. Thank you!

  • Kevin, you have an amazing presence. You seem to have had formal journalism training. I appreciate that you provide much information, trying to consider as many different perspectives as possible. Additionally, unlike some other health food advocates, you don't seem to think that you think that you know it all. Thanks, for the phenomenal work and great energy. Best.

  • excellent point on not being dogmatic... good stuff.

  • i forgot all of the pea flowers and blackberries. can't forget my dogs learning to pick them by themselves

  • lemon balm that grew into early december 2008 only turned black when it snowed in seattle mid december. plums late august and apples all the way into early december in seattle in my backyard. love it!

  • great video

  • the leaves of traveller's friends/cobblers pegs. so tasty. i eat them when i'm out on a hike, since they're EVERYWHERE!

  • Nettles in juices are killer!

  • Figs!!

  • mint : D

  • Favorite wild food: raw wild salmon. You can't pick it in your backyard, but its exceptional.

    Behind that, raw cheese.

    Thanks for the video.

  • hey kel i am A chinese and i know notice there are a lot of editble wild vegetables in our back yard that my family would enjoy, and there are always grow in abundance so with minimun care u hardly have to buy ur own vegetables in the market. however, those vegetables, which my family love are consider weeds to westerner. So i can definitely send u some pic to u if u are willing to find and try out those new edibles.

  • ...

  • you speak clear and strong. the mouse and fish warning was a nice touch..

  • Black berries, they grow like crazy here

  • Lived in south Georgia when I was a kid,we were pretty feral. We ate tons of wild grapes blueberries blackberries.Pecan trees everywhere.Corn tomatoes squash okra peanuts all were practically free 'cause it was in everyones yard.Peach pear and fig trees if you hit the right yards. Most of this came out of relatives yards so we freely trespassed. There were wild onions strawberries and these fibery roots-but I never tried any.Probably a good thing we foraged, our mom would food shop poorly

  • That's very interesting. Different culture from up here in north New Jersey where everything has a price tag and produce is not as freely available, though if you know where to look you can enjoy yourself.

  • Disagree with the "give it two weeks" idea. That's not nearly enough time to adjust to something new, for better or worse. Give something a couple months, minimum, before deciding.

  • nettles

  • I like your personality. Seem like a good guy.

  • wild grapes

  • strawberry's! :d

  • oooh I'm lookin that guy up!! HOw do I find a forager guide I can trust to really know what he is talking about? I dont wanna be out there eating a bunch of poisonous plants...LOL. I also recommend keeping a diary of how each specific food makes you feel. One of my favs from the yard is dandelions and clovers.

  • I agree 100% with you on that. One has to try and find out. I wanted to stay on mostly fruits, then I discovered I don`t have enough variety of organic, "ripe from the tree" fruits available. Now, I eat a combination of 80% raw (fruits greens & nuts) 20% cooked (mostly quinoa, brown rice or oats).
