If John and Bob release an album, whether on a record label or independently, I think they should call themselves something other than 2 Guys From Petra.
Seems like Petra's music will always live on, even if it's just through the longest standing members of the band, John Schlitt (1986 - 2005) and Bob Hartman (1972 - 1994, 2001 - 2005).
Louie Weaver joined Petra in the early 80's and remained with them until Spring 2002, which was roughly 21 years that he was with them. John Schlitt was the singer of Petra for 19 years, starting with the album Back to the Street in 1986. Had Petra split last year instead of 2005, John Schlitt would have been with the band for 21 years also. Bob Hartman, the band's founder, was in the band a total of 26 years, 22 of them consecutive years from Petra's beginnings in 1972.
well Bob was tecnicaly in the band all 33 years. He still remained in the band writing songs and stuff. So he never realy laeft the band at all so was in pretty much all 33.
I like the look on Bob's face when he plays the intro riff :-D
