  • the chick reminds me of Maggie Gyellenhaal or sumthin right?

  • Hi i am offering cg music videos at affordable prices. Mail me if you are interested

  • THIS IS AN OLD SHITTY CONSOLE. MID AND HI EQ SOUNDS FRIGGIN LAME.

TOO OLD FOR CRAPPY ANALOG CONSOLE.

  • What console you talking about? Did you record there?

If yr talking about the vintage neve 88r, it's one of the best sounding consoles ever made. Even thou it's likely they ended up having to replace every chanel strip, pre and routing matrix on it. Which really doesn't make it vintage anymore.

Record on a neve, mix on an ssl. That's how we do it.

  • If the late original owner/founder Geordie Hormel (one of the heirs of the Hormel Foods product) would have seen this video clip, he'd would be spinning so sickly in his grave, as well as the longtime studio manager, who's name escapes me, I'd rather bash a full bottle of wine on her head. Allen Sides at Oceanyway is FAR TIMES SMARTER than this flat-titted nit-wit.

  • @toodeadbroke I agree,I had visited it in the 70's with Geordie

  • The artist who is recording at 3:53 (that room) is John Mayer.... His Monterey strat is in the line of guitars as well as his signature strat.

  • she's hot!...

  • this totally starts off like an amateur porn.

  • My Studio is way better ... ...

    -

    -

    lol

  • OMG that actually really isn't mucking around!!

All those neve channel strips. Echo chamber?!!

This is the crazy fleetwood mac studio, yeah, that's really hardline.

    ___

I have to say, I'm really quite impressed, that's up there with AIR lyndhurst & stuff, but with some propa like sexy californian chillaxe vibe.

What the hell, it's like a campus, that's not a studio!! Ridiculous...

  • any one know the rates for this place??

  • I've just been blinded by awesomeness on a stick....

  • waay better lounge/breakroom than Abbey Road Studio, and looks just as historic!

  • This is an Awesome tour! Thankyou for sharing.

  • wow too many guitar's what the!!!

  • maaan this must cost so much!

  • looks like a lot of little drug rooms for the bands to get high in !

  • Lot of History in this place. If Aja & Joe's Garage was done there, you know it's a great studio

  • Very cool my buddys band records there music there. They are called 'Dramarama'

  • Lol, and all this while some modern home recordings sound way better than the new studio recordings.

Products that come from studio´s like these have zero, and I really mean zero dynamics.

  • hell yea it seems like more love in a home studio

  • @Zondagavond - do you know what you're talking about? No. Dynamics is controlled by limiters and compressors. They are operated by people. Has nothing to do with the studio.

  • @Zondagavond

You know not of what you speak.

That desk, you won't get a better sound with more dynamics.

Yeah, the loudness war etc. Go listen to steve albini's work or something. You got to work in a studio to get a good sound in my books, DAW and mixing in the box sounds nasty, and the sound of a studio is down to the soundproofing, room sound, vibe, skills of the people, etc etc.

  • she´s hot!

  • easily worth 100 million dollars, I wonder what they cost?

  • What a dummy. She spells her name wrong. It's spelled Brooklyn.

  • its a name there's no wrong or right

  • i recorded in studio d

  • i don't like her

  • ...but homerecording is cheaper

  • and sounds like it was done at home.

  • who's music is that playing in the background and who's' playing that sick guitar solo????

  • Comment removed

  • Correct!

  • That's A studio i must say lloks like the PUK studio in Denmark, same old good equipment :)

  • speachless! sharing with music, lots of musicians in the same spot, thats were i want to be

  • fuck me that has to be the biggest studio house know to man good lord they have more stuff in like back up and parts then i do im my whole studio put together jaw dropping

  • and yes, when you are there

everyone is one big family - late night ping pong in the

lobby, people playing music for each other, borrowing instruments, sharing experiences..... ya baby - the best

  • been doing projects there for years. best studio in the country. everyone has the same gear but the Village has

Jeff Greenberg the best studio operator in the record business. when you are at the village it is YOUR studio from baby band to superstar, everyone is treated the same. with dignity, respect and reverence for music as an art form. LONG LIVE THE VILLAGE!

  • An ashtry on the desk, I wish I had one of those

  • :30 californication, great album by the red hot chili peppers, 1:00 great to see studios still using vintage gear, 4:55 haunted as in paranormal haunted? you might want to get the ghost huners in there to investigate do some thermal imaging, video, EVPs all that good stuff

  • LOL..Brookelyn Boyle...if it's not a fake name it oughta be...women are so lucky...they can skate into jobs and situations with no more qualifications than the fact of their tits...

  • i want her to hold my mike !!!!!!1111one

  • That's definitely John Mayer's gear in the studio at 3:45. Steve Jordan's drum kit (same one he used to record In Repair for JM) and John's Monterey Pop Strat.

  • i agree

  • well, if Zappa's "Joe's Garage" was done there, than it must be an all right place....

  • Gotta respect some of the names that have graced that studio.

  • awesome studio...hot chick!

  • What a cool place!! I love studios. A few years ago I spent all afternoon in Abbey Rd EMI London. It was fab. No one was in number 2 which was where the Beatles made their music, and I just walked around on my own! The canteen was cool with famous faces in there.

  • the camerawork sucks so bad. so bad

  • OMFG. I so wanna come visit. Big bigger than my poofey double recording studio!

  • Lots of nice gear but do they know how to use it right?

  • whats the point of more than one studio?

  • because of the different accustic-characteristics of the different recording-rooms ;)

or just because of the size of a room. if you have to record a whole orchestra, you need a big room.

  • Not true. Its because they have so many clients recording at once they need that many rooms and specific rooms are better for a certain genre of music. Notice all the hip hop and rnb artist recorded in that last studio she showed us.

  • Many clients, all at once; different sizes for different numbers of people; different equipment for different sounds.

  • Chili Peppers rock

  • Good video, just a question can personal computer home studios like the firpod 24/bit recorders get anywhere close to your sound?

  • they're ok, but you don't get any of the meat you get with reel to reel tape

  • Thats a very ghetto looking. I was just recording at a $4,000,000 studio. Studio-H in Halifax Nova Scotia, owned by CBC Radio One

  • That "graveyard" makes me weep. They've lost more equipment that I'll probably own in this lifetime =(.

  • Probably? No. Assuredly.

  • Starting at 3:40 in the "Live Room" is all of John Mayer's equipment. His racks of guitars and everything. Awesome.

  • i think ive watched this 4 times now

  • dam shes hot

  • thanks

  • no problem....it would be like a dream just to jam out in that place....i bet you can do some real soul searching in that studio..Do you have any cool pictures from one of those really cool rooms or a b card or something? i collect cool music art and stuff...

  • Cool tour. Id love to see more!!!!

  • wow i could use alot of that stuff in the "graveyard"

  • nice video, but the tour is too fast :( Great studio with nice equipment

  • the chick on this is so cool. where can I find a cool chick like her who's into the chilli peppers?

  • chili peppers suck

Do they even speak english? Like in Storm in a tea cup, thats such a GAY song

  • i'm not really a big CP fan, it seems like all their songs have the same basic structure, and they always have to have a little scat in the middle

  • yeah i know what u mean

but they r like the best improvising band ive ever heard

    and frusciante is a god

  • Flat chest and flat ass on that chick, what's cool about it...?
