  • They didn't support any of their propositions with even a shred of evidence. What a waste of time. I expected more.

  • I love pink flamingos!

  • Susie's flower garden or Jim's mowing schedule differences could equate to state's like Kansas wanting to censor the teaching of evolution in schools in favor of creationism or prayer in school or some other establishment of religion concept that would run into Constitutionality problems.

  • @J0eFlesh That is true. Don't assume however that Steve's standards for lawn care equate to a curriculum you might desire. You are fortunate that our federal government seems to favor evolution. What if they favored creationism instead? In a diverse nation such as ours, isn't it is best to these leave matters up to local government so that the people decide what is appropriate for their needs? I find creationism to be silly. However, I hate to deny a community the right to choose.

  • down with koch

  • the analogy ignores the fact that private education and home schooling is still available, mowing or treating your lawn yourself. Also, most of the control is currently the state and local regarding education. This is why you heard about different states debating what to teach in their public schools.

  • So if you describe something using metaphor you don't have to be accurate?

  • You crossed out the feds but left the state and local bureaucrats? They are just as bad if not worse as they have more control then the feds.

You left the homeowners on their own to care for their lawns but I guess they are too stupid to be left alone to care for their children's education, right?

  • So, the Heritage Foundation is absolutely opposed to: No Child Left Behind , Race to the Top, IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), and national standards--all things that conservatives love. Interesting. I thought this was a staunch conservative group.

  • Once again, Heritage describes the problems with our education system in no uncertain terms. Thumbs up and faved.

  • @ManOfDeath567 Much appreciated!

  • @HeritageFoundation down with koch i know they are funding you. if there was no regulation there would be all kinds of dangers such as toxic food constant oil spill and steel works in your back yard. this video is koch propaganda. go stick the cato institute up your ass

  • This isn't really a strong argument for limited government or regulation. Its an argument for effective government or regulation

  • So this propaganda is to show us how HOAs are bad for lawn care?

  • For the lucky "providers of the less fortunate that pay no income tax" taxpayers, like myself. It's not that any demographic pays too much or too little. The Government spends WAY too much.

  • Government destroys freedom no matter what it involves in. The less government we have, the freer we are, I just wish brain dead liberals would understand that.

  • @jogeryjogo Google "Anarchy"

  • Great work!

  • LOVE the video. It's way past time to get rid of the federal department of education. Let such matters relating to education be decided at the state and local level period. Oh one last thing i loathe those ugly plastic pink flamingos that some people put in their yard. Nothing scream's "white trailer park trash" as those ugly ass plastic pink flamingo's.

  • @computerpurple Exactly! Let the States decide. The entire United States is ruled not from Washington DC, but from ghetto states like New York and Illinois.

  • @Rwings73 ...And oh what a lovely job those liberal corners of this country are doing. HA , HA , HA.

  • @computerpurple I bet you like the little fucking Jockey, eh? Leave my fucking pink flamingos alone. Garden gnomes?

  • @luvcheney1 Naw id much prefer Cindy Crawford on my front lawn.... holding the plastic pink flamingo. Like the movie you have listed as a favorite on your channel - "Das Boots"

  • @computerpurple "Das Boot" is about a German U-boat. Although Cindy in boots makes me reflect a little.......

  • @luvcheney1 OOOOOHHHH YEAH. me LOVE Cindy C. My favorite musician Prince wrote a song about her it's called "CINDY C".

  • @computerpurple STFU, I cant think.

  • @luvcheney1 OOPS SORRY.

  • Glad you partnered with "Stuff Made Simple" to produce such a great video. I love their work!

  • One of the viewers in an education bureaucrat.

  • This video is sheer brilliance. All Americans should watch it to better understand how the Leftists have destroyed our proper federal-state relationship.

  • We need a separation of school and state.

The power to indoctrinate future voters is a power that is guaranteed to corrupt.

Private schools and homeschooling are both better and cheaper.

    Privatize the schools.

  • @freesk8 I agree with that.

  • Great video! I'd say it's almost Libertarian!

    Good work.

  • Great Society of LBJ in the 1960s is Now 'Oh me Oh my What have we done?'

    States Rights Forever!!

  • We have a Federal Education Department for the reasons of 1- National Security- If you educate kids with non-science in a scientific world our nation will fail economically. The long agreed-to history of America/World is being changed by Conservatives. To have a history lesson that is simply wrong (dinosaurs exist with humans or Paul Revere being early NRA proponent) is simply to abuse the children.Leave schools to locals and snake handling will be in schools.FED is oversight for nuttyness.

  • @boredjoewo Enough with this "we are the government & we are smarter than you, so you can't make your own decisions" nonsense. It's BS. Especially when you consider that in every area when the government itself has to compete with anyone they always lose.

PS- liberals can't talk about false teaching in school when they try to downplay or downright not teach the failures of communism, socialism and government entitlement programs or planned economies in general.

  • @boredjoewo Here's a little hope for you. ALL of the founding fathers were home schooled. As well as Abraham Lincoln. Even a homeschooled child won the Scripts Spelling Bee. There are GOVT run schools that have children reading books like Heather HasTwo Mommies. Not to mention Al Gore's Inconvient Truth which has now been proven to be filled with misinformation. Don't even get me started on "The Story of Stuff". That propaganda filled film with anti-capitalist views.

  • @boredjoewo Fed is failing. The US lags far, far behind in math and science.

  • I don't know why some people refuse to understand this.

  • @frogsoda Not a matter of refusal. Centralized regulations exist to prevent states and cities from running their schools in a way that the political elites view as unwise. It's more about control than effectiveness.

  • @Great8Earthquake Thanks for watching!

  • Damn commies........
