@Mishapetrenko Nope, we don't get censored call of duty. In fact we don't get censored lots of games that other countries rate higher. Our rating system isn't STRICT, it's just that extra step we don't have. Most MA15+ games we have are more violent than our R18 movies. And this is because we don't have R18. If we did, the call of duty series, possibly the Halo series, GTA and many other games would get an R but with the same content. However I believe we get minorly cut versions of GTA.

Call of Duty DS series, PG up until COD BO (Cod BO rated M) All the PG versions had blood effects. BO had none but got a higher rating. Wtf? So stupid.
@Nintendoguy5794 L4D2 was banned because it was more graphical than L4D1. Such as using melee weapons and being able to cut limbs off, L4D1 did not have this. But you can always edit the config files :)

I would like to have a r18+ classification but i believe that its not going to change anything or protect children. In fact it would probably be worse as whats gonna stop them if they're currently getting hold of ma15+ games. Its gonna let more violent games into childrens hands and they'll probably think its cool to play them(like whats happening with youngsters and ma games). I myself played ma games when i was underage whats gonna stop kids if there is a r18+ classification? probably nothing.

@Mishapetrenko Nope, we don't get censored call of duty. In fact we don't get censored lots of games that other countries rate higher. Our rating system isn't STRICT, it's just that extra step we don't have. Most MA15+ games we have are more violent than our R18 movies. And this is because we don't have R18. If we did, the call of duty series, possibly the Halo series, GTA and many other games would get an R but with the same content. However I believe we get minorly cut versions of GTA.

@Mishapetrenko That is what I feel is wrong with the Australian rating system. It is very inconsistent. L4D1 passed with no cut. L4D2 banned, later released with a ultra crappy cut. Call of Duty DS series, PG up until COD BO (Cod BO rated M) All the PG versions had blood effects. BO had none but got a higher rating. Wtf? So stupid.

I feel disgusted at the violence in some games, but I feel I am mature enough to decide if what you're seeing is real, or I just read the rating (the Australian Rating thingy which describes the content is a major help to R 18+ games for offended or unsure adult gamers: strong themes, strong horror violence, blood and gore, etc.)

The reason this asshole AG Michael Atkinson is against the R18+ classification is because he has 3 sons who played Grand Theft Auto and he didnt like what he saw, his main gripe is running people over, shooting people, raping girls in (RAPELAY).Who the fuck plays rape games anyway?. How did he know about that?, I bet he plays it at home on his PC and pulls himself over it the sick fuck - how else would he have known about it?. if we had an R18+ system, then little johnny will instead be playing pokemon or other PG games.
instead having MA15+ he is able to access games like L4D2 and see what a chainsaw does to a person at full rev, or a gunshot to the head etc etc...

Wake up call Atkinson, the world isn't nice, we dont wander through the land of OZ singing and dancing like a pack of fags - that's wishfull thinking you moron. You're trying too hard to protect kids from violence by punishing the adults themselves. In case you havent noticed - violence is very much a reality and kids see it on the news every day, in movies, some kids get physically abused by their parents either sexually or physically beaten.
