  • That top can double as a candy dish.

  • very creative idea to have enclosure design like this one.

  • That looks too high-end for my taste. I can imagine how it could be used in an office setting though.

  • Man, If only I could get Windows 7 as fast as you. But then again, I should see how it works when you get it. I wish I had this, I don't think my computer is up to the task to partition 3 different OS's. But then again, it's not like I have the cash to get this! Thx anyway.

  • Thanks allot PCW....my favorite tech updater

  • Nice video keep up the good work also can you do another giveaway like you did with your 100th video thing?

  • nifty but, I mean really, lol

  • Just a little error: You say it supports 1 TB. But it just supports 1000GB ;)

  • same thing

  • 1 TB is 1000GB is another way of saying it. :-)

  • 1 terabyte is equal to 1024 gigabytes, not 1000 gigabytes. And I know all HDD makers do this stupid way of calculating it.

  • picky , picky. ;P

  • It's true, you should just say that when you review a HDD so people know what's happening. lol.

  • PCWizKid, you are right.

    From Wikipedia:

A terabyte (derived from the prefix tera- and commonly abbreviated TB) is a measurement term for data storage capacity. The value of a terabyte based upon a decimal radix (base 10) is defined as one trillion (short scale) bytes, or 1000 gigabytes.

  • Even stupider is that they give liquid size values to their products, and forget that to be able to write to a 100gb drive, you'll need 10 or so to be unaccessible. I'd prefer to know beforehand exactly how many GB's of space I will be able to use when I buy an HD, for instance.

They also do it when marketing Broadband connections, since most internet users don't know the difference between a Megabyte and it's 1/8th cousin, the megabit.

  • Dang i want one

  • Amazing... really. I really want one. :D

  • ;-]

  • what is E-SATA used for is it like firewire???

  • Hi yes this is the next generation after IDE , its SATA, and you can have an External SATA drive thats faster than USB but slower than Firewire 800

  • oh ok thanks i heard about it but didnt know, basically its just like a USB

  • for external drives, first u had usb, but now tehre is e-sata which u get full sata speed for u're external drive ;)

    it's much faster :)

  • Comment removed

  • why would you need a case for an external hdd?

  • its so you can put an internal hdd in a case to make and external drive

  • good hard drive, im thinking of getting another one soon and do raid

  • Looks neat and clean :]

  • Too fragile to travel. And they could have made it tool less.

    Great review.

  • Yeah... that looks like a bathtub.

  • low noise & cool hdd niceee :D nice review

  • With my external hard drive, you can plug in both USB and eSATA, but eSATA will always take priority over USB. So it doesn't do any harm to have them both plugged in.

  • really coll drive xD

  • I neded. i love u

  • cool!!!!

  • nice review.

(BTW you deserve way more subs!!!)

  • Great review as usual. Your separating the partitions very interesting, someting i should have done...

  • i got this off wikipedia.. :

Properties associated with porcelain include low permeability and elasticity; considerable strength, hardness, glassiness, brittleness, whiteness, translucence, and resonance; and a high resistance to chemical attack and thermal shock.

  • Is the rest of the body plastic? It looks like it, but it's hard to tell.

Stylish looking thing for sure. i might actually buy something like that, but i'm a smoker, and plastic therefore won't do.

  • That is one unusual drive :O

Porcelain not my cup of tea :)

  • Am guessing somebody will post a cooking video with that drive pretty soon.

  • hahhha.. yea it look slike a takeaway box.

  • heh wanna send me that 500gb hard drive
