Often I wonder what I’m actually doing and why-then I see these videos and it all comes flooding back to me in tears. It’s a great gift/perspective-the lives we have the privilege to touch each day. Thanks Natalie Merchant for your gifts and reminding all who worked with individuals with disabilities of the gift they give us when we take time to be present in the moment while working alongside them. All 3 videos you did at Perkins School for the Blind are incredible-true treasures. THANK YOU!!!

I'll never sing this song to a person. I can only sing this to God! He saved my son's life. I walked out the children's wing of death in 2002. No Dr. knew why he lost nearly half his weight. A pediatrician wrongly diagnosed thyroid issues. He had the meds for 3 weeks then the pediatrician freaked out and had us go to a famous hospital in Florida for children. He got the intravenous and got weight gain. He was 106 a week later up from 90. His weight surged for the next 2 months to 120 with me.

I love this song and I respect and admire Natalie Merchant so much, she's not the usual Jennifer aniston type who wants to appear funny and cool, she's one who lives life and for real, and reality is about focusing on others, because no one can do it alone, the setting here makes this song so much special and meaningful!
