i live in montgomery county maryland where 1/4of the population speaks spanish or spanglish. i actually speak spanish better than english. it isn't that confusing. and fuck trying to deport anyone, what's the point? they commit less crimes than so called "white natives" and if they paid taxes what would be the problem?

Maybe the can be confused about the use of some terms and they could even mix them... but when they are between 13 and 14 years old there is no more confusion at all.. and they completely dominate the two languages... I came to the U.S. from Nayarit, Mexico at the Age of the 3 years and 1 month. Speaking nothing but spanish. I am now 19 and am a fluent bilingual. No confusion. I also am not a legal citizen and am attending CSUF.

Bilingual  Education failed in California because the reasons to justify it was not working were based on Schools whose staff was not competent. Most of them were not native spanish speakers.Also shcoolsdid not have enoough funds for appropriate books and curriculum.

Seems you have one bad assumption. The vast majority of educators who implemented immersion felt it improved the overall education experience of english learners.

Bi-lingual education was a farce in CA. Kids weren't learning english.

English isn't the future language, Mandarin is. Lots of rich people in America nowadays raise their small children to be bilingual: English and Mandarin. People who can't speak Mandarin will be left behind after a couple of decades.

English is the language of computers. It is the main language of world wide communication. China is not going to take over the world due to its political and population problems. Mandarin is not the only language in China. I know plenty of Chinese people who can't speak Mandarin. There are plenty of Chinese people in CHINA who can't speak Mandarin. Let's not forget how inefficient the Chinese symbolic written language is. This is why Korea and Japan created their own phonetic writing systems.

1st, that's an unproven legend. 2nd, you apparently don't know that Japanese write in 3 ways: Hirigana, Katakana and Kanji.  3rd Kanji is not an upgrade of Chinese, it's just Chinese that has altered over time. Hiragana is not a "secret code version" of Chinese. It's a phonetic form of writing. Lay off the crack pipe.
