If this game came out on the PS2 it would have been an instant classic. I really hate it when games get judged only for their graphics. 'Deadly Premonition' is a fantastic game, unfortunately most people have only seen the trailer and never heared about the open world gameplay and fantastically creepy characters this monster offers. Seriously, graphics aside it's the better Alan Wake.

Deadly Premonition is amazing. I love the tribute it pays to Twin Peaks - just different enough to make it interesting in its own right too. Best dialogue and voice acting I've heard in a game, and amazing storywriting too. The bad graphics/controls can't ruin what a great game DP really is. And Francis York Morgan is ace! I got so excited when I first saw this trailer and I'm thrilled it didn't turn out to be a disappointment, as these things usually do.

You know, I kinda wish this was released instead of the game instead of Deadly Premonition (I know, I know, same game, just retouched). That's not to say I didn't love DP, but the graphics, some of the character designs and even that song Carol sings. But, I suppose that's all bells and whistles if it lacks the emotional impact of the game.

I really wish they kept to the Twin Peaks-esque feeling I got from this trailer. I read up on this game and as I understand it, they had to change the game due to too many similarities with the famuous TV-serie by David Lynch. But... I DO SO MUCH WANT THE GAME IN THIS TRAILER! Just thinking about a game that puts you in that incredible Twin Peaks mood makes me tremble in joy! But it wasn't meant to be and even if Deadly Premonition still reminds me of TP, it hasn't been announced in Europe yet.

@Bosperus if you actually know what you are talking about they are using the same mechanics from Alone in the Dark with the use of light to fight enemies, a targeting system that is vastly superior than resident evil 4/5 (you can actually move and shoot) and more story oriented like Silent hill.

i've seen the whole thing. I think it's a fair complaint when it's copying not just vague ideas or settings but the specific look of characters. Look how the Twin Peaks show dropped in quality in the middle of series 2 when Lynch + Frost were much less involved - can you really see something better than that coming from an unofficial PS3 game with proper shit "SUFFER LIKE G DID" scripting/voice acting?
