I think is better to work for your country, and not for another.

Yes, probably, foreign legion is more in missions, and train more, but this is no all.

I'm sure about a question, Is much better any Special Ops unit from any country than French legion. Legion is always a good choice, but you have to think the things two times before join.

The very least I could say is that you're greatly underestimating the Legion.

Think about it : soldiers from all over the world join the Legion : former S.A.S. (British, Australians, etc.), former Navy Se.A.L.s, former Spetsnaz, etc.

Are you sure about it? I have my doubts. I know soldiers around the world join the legion, because in the legion people will live completely a military live, but I don't think soldiers from those units join the legion.

The majority of the people who join are not soldier before.

Honestly, I don't know if most of the men joining the Legion are civilians or former soldiers.

But as far as I modestly know, nothing legally prevents soldiers from Spetsnaz units, from S.A.S., etc. to resign and join the Legion.

Of course, your doubts are legitimate concerning how many those "recruits" are and, frankly, I don't have the slightliest idea of their number.

I think if you have a look in your passport it will say that you can loose your citizenship if you join a foreign military, but afaik the US authorities dont really do anything about it... however here in austria you WILL lose your citizenship if they find out that you serve another country.

It's not forbidden in Germany. It's forbidden in Austria to serve in another army (you will lose your citizenship if they find out). In Poland I think they can even stick you in prison.
