  • @tedissmall321 You are welcome. But I am not sure by what you mean. Do you mean you already own a 1KW and wanted to downgrade to 800W? For the two 6870's, one web site suggested 800W minimum and another suggested 1KW (or I dreamed one of them up). Either way, the rest of my computer is also pushed a bit and I want to stay on the safe side for power, maybe even overclock some day :). This is my 4th expensive comp (older ones messed up), so I'm really hoping it lasts me a very long time :)

  • @tedissmall321 It seems to be working fine. The only problems I'm having with my custom built are sleep issues and sound card issues, but I really doubt those have anything to do with the PSU. One thing for me is that I would probably have to upgrade my PSU to the 1000watt model when I decide to get my 2nd graphics card (two ati 6870's in crossfire) but that wouldn't be until at least 1 year. The PSU seems to have more than enough wires than I'll ever need though.

  • @tedissmall321 Thanks for the reply! It was my first custom build so I was a bit paranoid :)

  • I'm using this power supply with a phenom II X6 1100T (six cores) even though its not mentioned in the supported list. Please can someone tell me if I'm doing something terribly wrong. What I checked was that it supports Phenom X4, which has max power consumption of 140 Watts, whereas the phenom II X6 consume max of 125 Watts, so I thought it would work. I am not sure though it there is anything special in the X6 that the power supply does not have. Please reply, thanks!

  • this power supply has more than 1 6 pin pci-e connector, does that mean i can have sli on it, even if its not certified?

  • you hsould put the rail explanation as an annotation instead of saying it in every power supply video

  • 0.01$ download :?

  • i like it im going to git one for my cooler master 932.

  • not liking leds is a sin

  • supports sli and crossfire

  • @6:05 all the voltages are below what they need to be?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    am i missing something here?

  • It will Glow XD

  • Grammer Nazi...

  • Excellent review! No beatin' around the bush! No wasted time or head scratching! All useful information, recommendations and straight to the point. Thanks!

  • look what happens...it will glow...

    ;D

  • You sir have been probably the biggest help I have had with my building of my pc. every product i look at you review it! unbelievable!

  • @grooveclubhouse except he doesn't know anything about power supplies.

  • Der plugged it in and it didnt work?

Hey it has to be plugged into a motherboard to power on fool!

  • wow nice psu

  • love the 750,super quite and the ghost white is very nice.

  • If you're going to spend money on a PSU, just get a Corsair HX1000. Best PSU I've owned hands down. Much better than my Enermax Galaxy.

  • i bought the 750W model of this psu and i just plugged it in and the fan didnt turn on or the leds, is it broken?

  • If it's not working then it's broken, but if you bought it new I would double check that you've plugged it in correctly.

  • yea i got the same problem,i got a buzzing sound comming from it an thats it

  • Comment removed

  • I will take my Corsair 1000HX any day. KingWin is a Tier 5 PSU.

  • Yeah, after looking closer at this product I can say it's not for me. My current PSU is completelty modular except for the MB connection and that's what I would like again.

  • I never heard of this brand. I usually buy Enermax but my 620w PSU is starting to choke on loads now that I got a Radeon 5870. I'm looking for a new one.

  • You should include the price of the product in the video, so people will understand in which budget class this product fits, also your opinion on the price tag.

  • this has already been adressed in an earlier Q&A video

  • 850W is more than enough to start a crossfirex or sli

  • ack! you said 'zee!'

  • why not test the powerconnector since by use it starts so make noice and "sparks" as they always so for me-I just dont think this very healthy for the components in your computer-whomp-zZzZz and your powersupply is off-dont sound go does it

  • i meant switch i guess

  • 6 +12v rails? Wow, yeah, don't get this. Also, where are the +5v rails?

  • their is one 3.3/5v rail

  • @ExZero16

    Their = belongs to them

    There = at a distance

    they're = they are.

  • Can't be any worse than people using "your" when it should be "you're".

  • thank you for the grammar lesson. Still prob not going to use the right context tho, i have bad spelling and bad grammar, and when i type stuff in forums and places like this i usually don't care if my spelling or grammar is a little off, but thanks tho

  • You're welcome. :)

  • Very helpful Rodney, thanks :]

  • There's a secret spraying program going on worldwide! The overcast sky all the time is not natural. We're breathing aluminum and more. Search for "chemtrails", "Dont talk about the weather", "Endgame HQ". Check my chan for my own vids. Friend me. Ask me. Wake up and wake others.

  • hmm, Kingwin must be a Jewish company.

  • this psu looks ridiculously expensive

  • ok i did a lil lookin into this PSU and im getting DOA feedback everhwere i go? why would u go to the trouble to review a bad product? Kingwin is great but this unit has alot of issues from what ive read :( i was excited and going to purchase this just based on your review glad i did a lil snoopin and no im not trollin just stating facts i found now i gotta keep lookin for a good PSU in this price range and watts anyone have suggestions?

  • hey Rod you should get one of those PSU testers and run a least some basic load tests so we can see how the PSU coops with real use instead of just read the specs :|

  • the fan was quiet because the psu was cool

  • i love this powersupply

    and i love leds

  • I prefer the better ones, like Corsair HX850, Antec 850signature or Enermax 850 Revolution.

  • yea, this PSU seems ok but the voltage drop on the 3.3V rail is pretty significant. Plus he didn't test it completely. I just got a HX850 and have to say its probably the best power supply I've used yet. Super rock solid with minimal ripple, quiet... I could go on, but if anyone is looking for a quality 850watt PSU I can definitely vouch for the HXseries.

  • ahhhhhhhh. great product. i like this company. it says kingwin power supplies n come with one insede the box. yeah great product.

  • How much power do the ATI Radeon HD 5970 requre?

  • PCIe standard is 300W max and de 5970 is just below it.(downclocked 5870's to reduce power)

  • around 300w.

  • Thanks for explaining the rails, I never really understood that.

  • Kick ass in deed!

  • hmm, is there some connection between the brands Kingwin and In Win? they both have the "win" at the end lol :P

  • @TheMystery7314

because they are both made of win?

  • Hey Rodney ^^

    Very Nice PSU!

I like the name of it "LAZER" = KingWin LZ ^^

Looks pretty good and the Blue/White Fan & Modular Lead Connection are very good for Black Cases In/Out when they Glow ^^

Not to mention all the Features it has...

    KickAss Product !!! ^^

  • do u keep all the things they send u or u send them back?

  • go to his website....

    and massage him there....

  • massage him?

  • message ^^ sorry for typing ^^

  • very nice

  • I Could not here the fan. Mine is too loud!!!!

  • Those connectors are nice.

  • awesome review.this is how people do review.

  • I realy like this psu^^

  • Amazing PSU!

  • Awesome PSU.

  • Looks exactly like Super Flower PSUs... The LED systems etc. are the same.

  • wow the voltage drop on this power supply is disgusting. Who ever said this is a great power supply obviously know nothing about power supplies.

  • the power drop should be at +/-5% on the 12v reail so it's in the specifications.

  • although I agree that its within specification. many other competing companies had made this minimal. So if you were given a choice of buying a power supply within specification but one company has made it minimal while another just passed, which would you choose?

  • Very good PSU. Like that it has six 12V rails!

  • Great review of a great and powerful PSU!

  • i like the glowing modular lead connects :)

  • i can't wait for tesla to be adapted into computers ^^

  • I got my OCZ 700W, it's a modular but I use every lead -_-"

    It's really cheap..

  • Seems good, but too many of the cables are hard wired

  • I would rather take a Corsair-Antec-Thermaltake-CoolerMaster Product.. simply the fact that Kingwin isn't a known brand..

  • if u ever went mid range, go OCZ they are high quality cheap psus, i love my gamerXstream 850 watt

  • I love rather my Thermaltake... Rodney said to me to choose Thermaltake instead of OCZ.. So I do what the professional says, and I know that all Rodney does is Computer Componements reviews, so he gets a good idea.

  • i got my psu for 59.99 shipped though, was a re certified but it works awesome

  • maybe, but will it last long? I don't think so..

  • OMG Pause at 6:38 !!! Mr. Zombie

  • I really hate how the honeycomb grill looks, too bad it's so darn effective.

  • i noticed windows vista? what happened to you using windows 7?

  • Amazing!!! ^-^

  • Nice shirt your wearing today =o Greatz review.. idk if its available in AU though

  • This was a great review, good work!

  • Even I'm not a fan of LED fans etc. but the glowing modular leads is a really nice idea! It's also not really necessary but it's also a really nice idea that you can connect any lead into any connector.

  • cost 149.99 on newegg

  • 5:00 ricing it up.

  • what is the point of hardwiring both a 4+4 and an 8 pin into the PSU? in almost every environment, one of those cables will go unused.

  • Nice review Rodney and thanks for explaining rails, I still haven't learnt what the 12+ and 12- rails do(I don't mean what they power) I mean the difference between them =/

If I didn't already have a Corsair HX PSU I would get this.

  • If it is +/- 12, then that means the range is greater or less then 12 volts.

  • really nice

  • that was a seeexy psu!

  • What 9000?!

  • it is probably identical to the superflower crystal

  • Please Sir Rodney, post your blooper at the end of all videos. That would be great fun. By the way, good review.

  • ROBOTS MAKE NO MISTAKES!

  • robots are programmed human errors.

  • Thanks, you did a wonderful job of killing the joke, I've never seen one killed so fast.

  • your welcome... i guess

  • What joke? The glowing connection?

  • Nah, some guy asked if 3DGM could post bloopers at the end of every episode, and I said "ROBOTS MAKE NO MISTAKES!"

    ..Get it?

  • ..off...white...or blue!

  • lol it was a catchy line xD

  • 1 rail power supply's have much better power distribution & have higher efficiencies.

  • Comment removed

  • @stryeker he did that already go look trough his vids dude

  • Will ur cam allow you to do 1080p?

    Great review.

  • Another awesome review. :)

  • you really confused me with that volt rails part thingy....why don't you make a video about it?

i really like the review overall. very detailed and thorough, but i thought you'd call it a 100% kickass....

  • Seriousely? The answer is a google search away...

Well, voltage rails are basically the parts of a power supply that output a specific voltage and are responsible for distributing it on the PSU's outputs. How many rails a PSU has varies, though higher-end power supplies will have more than one independent rail for a single voltage (Such as two 12v rails instead of one) to improve stability and output consistency. Generally, PSUs use 12, 5 and 3.3 volt rails together to cover different needs.

  • well, its easier if you watch a video of 'someone' explaining it, instead of searching through wikipedia and reading, reading, reading *.*

a simple video makes everything more intuitive..

    and thanks :)

  • nice looking psu, lots of amperage wish the led's came in red : ( , nice vid

  • I wish the led's were green :(

  • haha yeah to bad they didn't have multi color, red, blue, green, white etc.

  • What risk is there if i buy a novatech own brand power supply over a more expensive one? :-D I don't want to damage my computer but i can't see the point in playing more just for it to be quieter etc

  • mm. trust me. best PSU's are from corsair, thermaltake and antec

  • the XFX 850 doesn't seem too bad either.

  • Epic Video Rodney!!!!!! it would be nice if it was fully modular

  • ty rooood

  • Great Review!

  • Nice video.

  • thanks rod!!!
