Convair 440 was my first experience of commerciall flight. It was july -67, I was 10 -years old and flew with Finnair in Finland with Convair 440 from Kuopio to Rovaniemi. The route was nice, called 'grasshopper' because off the many landings and take-off 's on the route.

Unfortunately they are still in service. I think they would be better placed if they were all parked in a museum though.

I do hold a licence but my visit was purely recreational. I stopped by the airport and paid Rhoades a visit... just to see the various props.

No, it's 156JR. I don't work for Rhoades, I just came by this airport one day. The video was shot in October 2002. Thanks for your comment.
