Can someone explain why this post has moved me so much? I'm not even Welsh but for some reason this journey, filmed so beautifully and so aptly, and with such great music, has effected me deeply. Reminds me of the many walking tours I did in South Wales, of the wonderful people I met there, from Crickhowell to Llandudno and the uniqueness of Wales. Not only Ivor, apparently, but all Wales could be described as little country with a big heart. Many thanks Rhysicus!..
Was the engine modelled after the TV character or was it the other way round? I loved the series as a kid. My 3 year old son loves it too. He was entrances to see, in his word, "Ivor the Engine is REAL dad!" You made a small boy's day. Thanks for the video, he watches it over & over again!

Some of us Americans know Ivor very well, rare yes, because there is an old VHS tape from 1999 that was released here in the USA, you know as we know it, Ivor the Engine and the Elephants, I own it and love it!!!!!!
Yeah I do, but this is the thing, Ivor videos are very hard to find I got mine when I was 6, In 2000 when they were still in stores,Im 13 now, and they are very hard to find now. Only 2 Ivor videos are available here Ivor the Engine and the Elephants, and Ivor the Engine and the Dragons.

I have driven that very engine, we repaired her at the K&ESR and had a go driving. Last loco ever overhauled at Swindon!
