  • I have used both weapons and the kimber just has the better quality! Springfield is a very nice weapon also, just doesn't seem to be as smooth as a kimber. Just my take on it.

  • Too rich for my blood. I can't justify paying over $1k for a compact.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • blah blah blah blah this that this that this...oh wait, springfield brazil, kimber newyork,? ill get a kimber please

  • Id take a rock off the side of the road over a POS Kimber

More than 50 perc of Kimbers have to be sent back because they wont run

  • @MrJMBrowning I have owned 12, stayed away from external extractors and never had a problem. I have owned a Springfield Loaded Champion, and a TRP both had improperly cut feedramps and rough breech faces. Buy American!

  • i made the classic rookie mistake and bought a gun that did not fit my needs when i was younger . now i am much older and considering buying a new pistol for ccw really like the 1911 compact both of these are great examples

  • Id take either 1. Both Beauties! thanks for Sharing.

  • Which one is the better gun when it comes to accuracy and reliability? Any input is appreciated cause I'm looking to get my CCP Thanks

  • Which one do you like better?

  • Shame that the Springfield isn't U.S made.

  • i just put my down payment on the springfield an hour ago! ;)

  • update: all Springfield slides and frames are made in brazil, all other parts manufacture and final assembly occurs in Illinois, doesn't matter if it says GENESEO IL or BRAZIL on the side of the frame because all of them have been manufactured the same way since 1974. springfield customer service rep told me that.

  • what is going on? my springfileld was made in Geneseo, Illinois! when did they outsource to brazil?!? can you still buy factory new AMERICAN made springfield 1911s?

  • Spiringfield all the way!

  • kimber its better than springfield for tooo much !!

  • it seems to me like the kimber has a little more detail work?

  • wow didn't know Springfield's were made in brazil

  • can you do a fireing comparing

  • Well what works better??

  • @pilgrim666butters

    a Glock

  • @GunWebsites Great answer!

  • @GunWebsites what!!!!????? how could you say that!!!!

  • @GunWebsites I expected better from such a good guy.

  • @GunWebsites pfttt Glock....

  • the "XDm" springfield is better in my opinion but the original one is more traditional

  • @magicmanslim

Feel free, we post a lot of vids, so we understand that people don't want their sub boxes filled

check back anytime you want some eye candy

  • @GunWebsites off topic i know, but glock 21 (prolly gen 3) or an HK 45? which would you push towards for a first pistol?

  • @GunWebsites keep filling them please...gives me something to do throughout the day

  • can i have 4

  • @20Divine13Glock33

in the USA you can have as many as you can buy.. go nuts

  • I have the EMP40 and it is a super sweet pistol. One of my new favs.

  • When gunwebsites makes a video on every gun ever

"Ok, we've made a video on every gun ever, finally!"

*looks on the computer for new guns and finds 30,000 new generations of guns and stuff*

    "WHAT AHHHHHH!"

  • @saj12100

by then I hope we have 3D cameras or something so we can re-do all our other vids !!!

  • @GunWebsites That would be awesome!

They probably cost pike $10,000 though

  • Springfield sorry kimber.

  • I usually only like 5 inch 1911s, but these are gorgeous!

  • man that sucks for the first guy. lol

  • springfield for their way better customer service and warranty

  • @Mr2fierce Agreed. SA has (in my experience) great customer support.

  • @One800Tony When you pay 1000.00 or more for a pistol you should never have to call CS.

  • Both very nice, I have a Sig !

  • my brother has a kimber i have a springfield .springfield feels better in my hand.but my hands twice as big lol

  • i like both of them, the differences aren't big enough to matter if i have to reach for one to save my life.

  • :( i'm not a big fan of kimbers the checkered stippling always hurts my hand

  • Springfield hands down

  • Two great pistols! Springfield wins because of the mainspring housing! :)

  • Great vid and outstanding weapons, what a big buck.

  • As far as looks, both guns look as they should, compact 1911s, nothing bad or good about that. It's how they shoot that matters. I have a Kahr .45 that I am not so hot on and am looking to trade for a different .45 so these are candidates.

  • SF

  • @OilTheGun

is that some 'internet way' of swearing at us?? LOL

  • @GunWebsites LOL, I'm sticking with Springfield,SF, from here on out.

  • @OilTheGun

Ah, OK..you can't never tell these days, lol

  • I love my Springfield!! My dad has the Kimber! Both really great guns! I use the KimPro TacMags and the magazines work smooth and haven't failed me or had a misfeed. Great video!

  • they both look very ugly

  • @HaloMadness007

aww too bad for you then..

we had planned to give away both of these to the first person to comment, unless they left a stupid remark...
