  • If anyone dislikes this song you fail...

I just really wish i could have this same song in HD.

because this is by far the best Sugizo performance i've ever witnessed.

Live and expressive as hell. The album solos are less awesome than this version.

  • this guy is so cool....

  • He doesn't show off his solos too much in LS though he such a good musician

  • pretty cool music =D

  • When i have listened at first twelve years old, i could not understand fully.

But now, i believe this music is perfect.

  • i believe thats yoshiki from x japan on the drums

  • @alacardo1 no it's not ... it's Masayuki Muraishi

  • this is so fire. really chills me out.

  • real good jazz, I love this Miles Davis song, great vid

  • that's true

  • This is ART

  • I don't care how the music is made... and I'm a musician... the only thing that matters is if you dig how it sounds. I dig this DEEP. Great stuff.

  • That shows, how full of s..,some people are, cause "steve vai uses a lot of whammy effects, and people say ,omg that's brilliant, but sugizo cant cause then people say stupid things like "random whammy effects",cmon that's bull...!

  • the mood is so good...omg...japanese musicians really know how to catch your nerve!

  • denitson777 you are so right! Hey, is this the same drummer as later in Tourbillon?

  • but sugizo may not be one of the best when it comes to tecnical playing, but when you have the style he has and all that feeling he is capable to evoke ,you dont need anything else

  • exactly, too many focus on how fast they can play mechanical scales. Great composition is a totally different matter.

  • its definitely not random, it has a flow and produces a mood

  • The Sugizo and Inoran solo at Chaos Live 2000 shows that Sugizo actually is a really good technical player, he just doesn't show it off as much.

  • and Im glad ,he doesnt do it,cause he dont need it. ;)

  • Sugizo's got mad skills but he's tasteful enough not to show them off every opportunity

  • as much as i love satriani vai and petrucci, they dont have the ability to write songs, they are great tecnical guitar players, but most of the time they lack a lot of feeling in their playing, but sugizo

  • q tosco, prefiro eric johnson, e armandinho macedo, e pepeu gomes, brasileiros são os melhores

  • Love this tune! Why is Sugizo never recognized as one of the best guitarist around? A shame!

  • ?!! Sugizo IS recognized as one of the best guitarists around

  • There are two kinds of guitarists -- technical players (mainly identified whether they can play fast) and feeling players like Sugizo

  • WHOA!!!

  • interesting, is this on any album?

  • wayyyyyy good.

  • love the feel of this song

  • good Lord, they played such amazing music,Sugizo rocks

  • Incase anyone didn't know, this is based off of a Miles Davis song by the same title. Miles Davis was someone that Sugizo admired greatly.

Only difference? Miles Davis was a trumpet player.

  • Really? 0.0 I like Miles Davis....and I never heard the song.

  • My mistake. Replace "song" with "album" and it will be correct. xD

  • how have you never heard kinda blue? Haha it's like his most famous work haha.

  • I listen to him but I haven't heard all of his albums...mostly my parents' greatest hits so...Yeah I kind of don't know lots about him.

  • Comment removed

  • Funny you should mention Miles Davis. Once I listened to one of his songs, and I though, "If the trumpet was replaced with a guitar, this would sound like a Sugizo song."

I wonder if Sugizo's unique guitar playing is a way to create a trumpet sound (like the constant use of whammy).

  • We did a cover of So What by Miles in a jazz ensemble at school, and I actually cranked the gain and delay and put a Sugizo-style solo section in it :) And I didn't at the time know Sugizo had covered Miles himself.

  • so is sugizo :)

  • this is incredible.

  • I totally dig this... more please! :D

  • there's a killer guitar tone when he comes in suddenly at 1:37! really nice and dry overdrive! blends perfectly with the rest of the arrangement. refreshing after all the new-skool 'emo' scheisse on the air nowadays!

  • couldnt have put it better myself

  • This is nice. I would listen to this all day. Thanks for the upload. ^.^

  • Well thats sort of point of this track. It's a freeform drum and bass inspired jam track, the album version was rather flooded with guitar delay and the like anyways.

  • i like his playin w effects

  • no, i find this quite interesting

the focus of this isnt solely on him... its just as much as how the others cohere. nice sorta rhythmic almost ambient jam track

  • Anyone know where and when this gig was..???

  • This version is way better than the one from the album. Drum and bass almost? or is it something along the lines of "Luna:4hero remix"?

  • Sugizo must be communicating with Jimmy H.

  • Is this Juno Reactor, or his solo?

  • Solo works, from 1998-ish? Album name is Truth.

  • wow, he's amazing! thankyou SO MUCH for the post!

  • Amazing! Thanks for posting. ^.^ It's a beautiful performance.

  • This version of the song is just mind blowing.

    thanks for posting.
