How does your hair tease so easily?! My hair is so thin and fine that I have to use disgusting amounts of hairspray to get it to tease properly. That...or I'm just doing it wrong.

@KGO80313 when your hair is dyed, it tends to be easier to style, I find. I have fine thin hair as well but when it was dyed it was much easier to work with for updos and whatnot. Perhaps opt for a slight change of hair color, OR the non-dye way would be to use a texturising paste/wax. You do have to experiment to find one that's good for your hairtype, though. hope that helps! =)

Then again, I only see this type of hairstyle on older women where I live... Or on politicians. Maybe it's just a reaction from seeing that hairstyle on the same crowd for too long.

I can never seem to get a style like this to stay without it beginning to part again on its own. I've tried using hair gel or more hairspray, but then it starts to look greasy. @rawr81itssarah try blowdrying it while it's damp. Start with the top section (or the problem area), blow it upwards. Disregard the 'part' or go in the opposite direction of that part, it'll help "set" it in place temporarily. Do this while it's evenly damp - really important! Blowdry the rest, then flip your hair over your head (bend over) and blow it that way. Then use a texturising paste/wax to help with the styling. Keep the hairspray 8-10 inches away to avoid e greasy look. Hope that helps!

I did it loooong time ago and I thought I could just brush my hair but I had a battle haha :/ but if your hair is really fine I guess you can try with just brushing your hair :) oh don't forget also some hair sprays leave residues on your hair so..
