  • the guy doing the voice over sounds really bored...

  • I honestly loved this game! Certain parts were harder than others. The plotline was excellent- combining my favorite time era & Sonic. What I enjoyed mostly, however was the surprise ending. When I found out Merlina was the enemy, I was blown away, saying, WAIT, WHAT?!? OMG! lol

I found it crazy! Loved this game and I highly recommend it.

  • That make it look good, but it sucked at the end.

  • "sonics greatest adventure yet" it says that on every game!!!

  • game was much harder than it seemed

  • @ToxicNightmareX they always say stuff like that

On the back from Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 is written greates adventure yet

  • People who say, "This game sucks,This game's dissapionting," BLAH,BLAH,BLAH. I completed the game in 1 day with my brother who is 7 now. He played it when he was about 5 or 6. It was AWESOME.

  • Too bad this game sucked balls

  • Would've been nice if they based a Sonic game off of Phantasy Star or Shining Force if they were gonna hand him a sword. The fancy armor is somewhat a redeeming factor.

  • the game isnt that bad

  • Y is justin Bieber playing sonic!!!

  • This game was dissapointing.

  • I never saw this... but oh well...

  • That kid is pretending to have fun

  • @ultimategamer96 Alert; Alert; Sonic game is not exactly the same.

Just because you played an older game or a few, that doesn't mean you know how to play this one. Look at how the kid's playing. And even if you don't like it, that doesn't automatically make it bad. Sonic should NOT just be about running and jumping. Repetition up the ass makes for a bad game. This isn't.

  • @vgman94 But this game was repetitive as hell.

  • @Axxidous Sonic 1 got high scores and was just jumping with a little speed and snazzy levels. This game may be a bit repetitive, but still good. Considering the different swords, characters, collectibles, even the arena (which I thought was decent. Not terrible)

  • @vgman94 But you said repetition up the ass makes for a bad game.

I like their story and tone. It was interesting. But their cutscenes would've been better as actual cutscenes.

Improvements to the gameplay would've been "freedom". To run around like usual, to use at least some of the same abilities while giving him sword abilities that can be used to make combos and to make combos with his normal Sonicy abilities as well. It would've been cool rather than just a theme lazily executed. lol

  • Well, this is only somewhat repetitive, so it's not that bad. And normally, when I say repetitive, I mean using the same formula for more than a certain amount of games (depending on how complex the formula is, it can stay with as few as 3 games or as many as 8). I normally don't mean about how repetitive 1 game is within itself. I talked about series' original formula vs. new ideas. Yeah, it would've been cool to have free movement and more moves. I don't think it was lazy, but unfinished.

  • @vgman94 I meant the gameplay is repetitive. Run, stop and deal, run, stop and deal, slash 3 standard and boring strikes. There's no variety in the levels.

It felt lazy becuase they added swords as a theme but didn't execute it's gameplay the way most sword games would. It felt lazy as if they didn't know how so they gave him simple moves.

  • @Axxidous I know, but so is Sonic 1. As for SATBK, aside from repetition, at least it has speed, and there's a joust and lancing attack that can be done with the sword. Most people just don't know how to do them. Including me as I don't have the game, but I heard one of the moves is done by flicking the Wiimote backwards. But I don't really know.

Well, they wanted to keep the speed intact and make it unconventional. But I agree that there were a few crude parts to the game.

  • @vgman94 No... no it's not. In this you run into a guy, stop and trade rings or whatever. Then run into and enemy and do a standard, boring and SLOW slashes. Then that's ALL that happens for the rest of the level in the same direct, same timing, and all the levels are the same and since Sonic's pretty much automated the parts that are different aren't worth anything. At least in Sonic 1 there were multiple directions to turn and obstacles to go through at different timings and player styles...

  • @vgman94 It doesn't matter. Giving him quicker sword moves that can work in combos to slash through enemies wouldn't have been any longer than what they actually had you do. In fact it'd probably be faster. Even Ninety-Nine-Nights was able to pull that off.

And I'm referring to how SatBK's levels actually were, not how this trailer misleads you to believe they are.

  • @Axxidous Ninety-Nine Nights? Sounds like something I should look up. To get a better idea of what you're talking about. I've seen the entire game on YouTube. The levels are always on rails and in the same direction, but it's not the same place or path (optional paths don't mean single-path levels are repetitive, as long as they're different). Sonic 1 was also pretty hrd.

  • @vgman94 Secret Rings and Black Knight are on rails. Sonic Unleashed and Colors are kinda on rails but you can control the direction you go and certain sections are definately not on rails.

Sonic 1 is not on rails. Even when always headed to the right, you've always gotta actually at least do some platforing. And you can't really predict what's going to come up on your screen the first time around because it's not exactly the same as the first part of the level. It's not repetitive.

  • @ultimategamer96 Butthurt for not learning how to play it, are we?

  • AHHH I REMEMBER THIS!

  • How can a game on a system whose controller has two pieces, an analog stick, a d-pad, a full range of motion and nine buttons still control so poorly?

  • interesting how this commercial is way worse tha nthe 1990s commercials

  • Wow, I never swing like that when I play the game, lol.

  • lol i dint get kwl glove?:P

  • greatest adventure my ASS! this game is an ungodly peace of shit that needs to burn in the fires of hell

  • @MegaSmashman U sound like the AVGN

  • the guy speaking in the commercial sounds abit like Caliburn.

  • Greatest adventure? BULLSHIT! This game sucks, the controls are awful, the storyline makes no sence, the rating system is bad, and it only took me about 12 hours to beat (Not long)

  • @Sonicdude20 i agree 100% with everything you said in that comment

  • @MegaSmashman Thank U!

  • i cant beat the red dragon HES HARD >.<

  • greatest adventure my asshole

  • This appears just on UK, because UK supports Sonic more than America. Remember about Sonic getting 1st as best video game character? :)

  • only UK hmm USA ftw <.< the US never does anything cool Q.Q

  • your fighting king ather

  • on their quest to save camolot?? isn't that place already used for somthing else??

  • I saw this a couple of times back when the game was released

  • how come they didnt make a commercial for sonic and the black knight in the USA

  • @LuisLuigi1 because King Arthur was in England, not USA

  • That's because it was only in the UK.

  • @GOLDsonic105 Same here dude, got the game and was really dissapointed

  • You mean the COMMERCIAL was only in the UK. S&TBK Was in the USA too.....

  • umm.. i never saw that commercail before now...
