Also hondas make high revving motors, for a reason. U cant rev a german car without probs. Vtec in most cars are set at 5500+, whereas a porshce redlines at 6k-6500. Look at the powerbands guys, vtec keeps climbing and climbing. NSX is the most reliable supercar there is, they took out lambos and porshces back in the day with half the hp, and now s2k is doing it again, handling, reliability, high revving beast. Japs are way to precise in everything they do, nothing beats them.
u guys have to remember its also about the gearing, the s2k is far shorter geared. Ppl mistake price of a car with quality. U will never buy a german car compared to a japanese car wen it comes to reliability. That s2k will handle atleast 250-300k miles with nothing but an oil change. That porshce will take a poop at 150, first thing to go is tranny, then motor. My dad owned nothing but german cars, and nothing but probs. S2k=129hp per liter, holds record of most hp per liter.

I've driven a 350Z (306 HP), a Honda S200, & a Boxter S....The Boxter S is the best all around without a doubt. The S200 is a horrible bumpy ass ride, & the the 350Z is pretty good.

Honda is a technology leader in the industry and have mastered (&originated) the small displacement high output trend and also created VTEC which is used by EVERY company today (why they won't go V8). The S2K is their flagship and is a perfectly balanced car with higher HP per liter than ANY car (including charged cars) except Porsche GT2/3

0-60 is the kind of fast that really doesn't mean a thing to me... but yes, it's quick around bends.

From my experience all standard boxster models are slower than my s2000. The Boxster S - 2005/2009 model has pretty much the same acceleration from the grid but is slower while rolling. The 2009/2011 Boxster S is a little bit faster accelerating with +60 bhp more than my JDM s2000 with 250 bhp. With some tiny mods (intake/decat) it should keep up with the newest boxster S too. Also remember the s2000 is 100+ kg lighter than all Boxsters.

I guarantee you the honda parts will last much longer than the so called quality parts that porshce has to offer just ask a tech. theyll tell you. also if absolutely no maintenance was done to either car i bet you the farm the porsche would be the first to stop running

There is a reason why the boxster is considered the best roadster in the world, and why it constantly wins awards and outsells all its competitors..
It is absolute magic to drive, the build quality is up there with the best in the world, and its not too expensive..
The Boxster S is faster than all its japanese rivals too (0-60 in 5s for the lastest model)..
and you have to look at the AMG mercs and RD audis to find other german cars that can keep up

The best roadster would probably be the miata. Both Boxster, S2k and BMW's Z's are kinda OFF the roadster basic concept (pushing the envelop a bit too far).
About build quality.. YEP it's good.. kinda like Japanese build quality so I don't understand WHY compare the 2 in that matter.
0-60 is the kind of fast that really doesn't mean a thing to me... but yes, it's quick around bends.

My brother had a 1999 Miata 1.6.
I HAVE an S2000!
I know both cars pretty damn well.
The S is an addictive but quite serious sports car.
The miata is softer. You can enjoy the miata's edge and have fun at lowerspeeds. Going on the edge eith the S2000 is a different, riskier and quite expensive game.
I brought the S2000 cause i'm a sport's car fan... but if i wanted the pure roadster thing like my bro.. the miata is the choice.

Uh, if I'm giving info on a Honda, why wouldn't I get it from a Honda site? Look. I'm not trying to argue. All I'm saying is just cause something is a couple tenths faster doesn't make it better (not saying porsche is bette or worse - also S2K runs mid 13s which is faster than a Boxster). A 911 is one thing but I think you are holding the Boxster in a higher regard than you should. Great car but at a fraction of cost S2k outperforms with more than comparable motor. Maybe u should check the stats

The standard boxster is faster than an S2k and hammers it around the track..
and thats not even the one you buy.. you would have an 's'.
the carrera is faster but the boxster is nicer to drive than a carrera.
and the honda rund 0-400m is about 15s according to an average of all tests.. its slower than the boxster in every way.

From my experience all standard boxster models are slower than my s2000. The Boxster S - 2005/2009 model has pretty much the same acceleration from the grid but is slower while rolling. The 2009/2011 Boxster S is a little bit faster accelerating with +60 bhp more than my JDM s2000 with 250 bhp. With some tiny mods (intake/decat) it should keep up with the newest boxster S too. Also remember the s2000 is 100+ kg lighter than all Boxsters.

The S2000 is not a good car when you begin the run stopped. If you have begun the race at 30 km/h, the S2000 would have taken 25 meters :)

The S2000 win.
The 2000 Boxster S is my father.
both stock(last summer) We put a comptech supercharger in the S2k and a Procharger supercharger will be in the Boxster S in 1 month. We will do other races to check out if my father will beat me!!!
