Rampage knocked Arona out with a headbutt actually, when he slammed him, Arona "bounced" on the floor and got koed when their heads collided (maybe he would have be koed anyway, or dazed enough so it would have been a good move for jackson who could have escaped/finished him).

@sicknofty i party agree with dikkiseamen (lol) in the lightweight division you dont see effective slams that often. slams only work well when you have the mass to put behind them, which is why you see heavyweight fighters use and destroy dudes with em sometimes like Rampage or Hughes (just top of the head examples). if a lightweight fighter prepares themself for a good slam [from another lightweight] they can usually weather it easily

Actually slams usually make the choke tighter but you see highlights of knock out slams more so most people think otherwise. Those up kicks were sick. Ive always thought it would be a good idea to punch you opponent when he was in a triangle but this is the first time I've actually seen it.

just because you've seen rampage doing it doesnt mean that u can always knock someone out when u pick someone up with a triangle. few people have the explosive strength required to slam guys like how rampage does. and plus, aoki left his upper body close to the ground half the time, making it impossible to knock him out like that.
