So, I saw Trevor Hall open for John Butler trio saturday at Red Rocks. I've gotta say, I really wanted to like him, the music is smooth and easy to listen to, but, I just couldn't get past the fake accent, and the whole poser act. I find it a little difficult to listen to somone sing about all these world troubles, all while standing barefoot on stage, swinging his "dredlocks" , and knowing that he is from South Carolina, an attended a very prestigious arts high school in California.

@SunWillSomedayRise i agree to a certain degree, the "accent" to me isnt exactly an accent but a way of singing, if you listen to a lot of music out of jamaica and the cari islands(like i do) you can tell the difference, he may have just found inspiration from these artists and shaped it into something that is more him. but is it fake if you can feel it? it may be to you, but to others it may be the world.

Totally right please don't refer to him as God or God himself. Everyone has their own God, but in basicly all religions it is a "sin" to say someone is God but God himself, and I put "sin" because I know we all have different religions but in mine it is a sin.

@Walden039 Everyone is God, Trevor included- He just is able to make it more present through his music. :) But Trevor is deeply influenced (by all religions) but Hinduism for sure. Look up the term Brahman, its something Trevor hints at this concept in a couple of songs. Lions Mane comes to my mind at the moment of a song I can think of, but there are quite a few.
