I kinda agree with that guy bashing weed in some aspects, but only cause he's choosing one end of the spectrum, and each end has their own points. He doesn't smoke weed, but look at how rude he is, and how he judges others, and has a solid, set view of what fighting is, there's no fun in it for him. While Eddie talks to kids easily, and his words flow when he's teaching, he's a great guy, and spiritual, but his thoughts are half-assed. Again, ends of the spectrum.

Jiu Jitsu is good for MMA but 9/10's a Jiu Jitsu guy will get his ass handed to him in a street fight versus a great striker, All fights start standing up!

@tune5k You must not be a great striker and in the 5+ years I was a bouncer ,Nobody took me to the ground , I am 6'6" 275lbs and was lifting heavy weights, so that might have something to do with. Even Eddy himself has said in a street fight and you are fighting for your life, go for ball shots, I wore a cup (most good bouncers do) ,throat shots ,even eye pokes if you have too,I never had to fight dirty though, a arm triangle choke won't work in a street fight.

Remember that in the street, or being a bouncer you mostly deal with idiots, or drunken idiots. Chances are that if you faced a competitive wrestler in the street, he would take down your 6'6 275 lbs ass. That is unless you are also proficient in takedowns and takedown defense. It's not the martial art that wins, it's the fighter.

@tune5k I am not disparaging Eddy Bravo and Jiu Jitsu ,a Great style for MMA but it doesn't make you invincible and it probably won't hold up in a street fight. If You know Eddy Bravo ask him the time about 15 years ago when he got knocked out at a strip club in Montreal. (I wasn't there but I knew the Club owner ,he had clubs all over the world)

@BarackMcBush Depends on how close you are when the fight starts... if it starts in very close range the striker might not have enough room to operate and create the proper distance to deliver. The grappler will have plenty of opportunities to grab you and get to work. Plus when we're that close we instinctively wrestle anyways. Nearly all the fights I've seen didn't include any clean boxing. Just straight up rumbling which led to guys on the floor.
