To be fair it was four years ago when I posted it. While never actually banned there were news stories about people with Vegemite and Vegemite shipments being turned away at the US border because of a change in the law about added folates. Over-officious customs officials to be sure, and it was anecdotal evidence - but there was a law about no added folates except in cereal! Also what you have there is not "normal" Vegemite, and has only exised since 2009.
